Great Product. Huge Opportunity

Pros

Great product with huge opportunity to disrupt a stagnant SIEM market. Initial start-up challenges being addressed and overcome with company now starting to hit stride with increasing pipeline, revenue and product development/feature capabilities. Market now beginning to shift towards us as more and more companies search for truly native Cloud based Security solutions which aligns with their Cloud First Strategies.

Cons

Building a Business is different to Managing a Business. Start-ups are about building and JASK is very much in the build phase. This presents challenges in getting the profile of new hires right. Start-ups may seem appealing from the outside but are not for everyone.

Headed in the wrong direction.

Pros

A very well put together engineering team led by strong engineering leadership. Big challenges and opportunities in a market that seems to be in need. The location in The Domain is nice.

Cons

The CEO constantly seems to be in 'spin' mode when he speaks to the team. His lack of oversight in his company led to a layoff in February. And yet he still talks about being a 'billion-dollar' company. All talk, no substance.

Pros

- CTO knows what he's doing. Practically built Carbon Black's initial offering and this platform integrates with a variety of other products. - The recruiting is one of the best I’ve ever seen. They know how to quickly recruit and fill headcount extremely well. My guess is they’re all over this website writing glowing reviews too. - Employee gatherings - Clean office with snacks and you’re allowed to play music on the speaker - Customer Success leader has been effective at generating successful exits in his past work

Cons

- Expect this to be a call-center like job, lots of cold calls. (Do you like Outreach? You'll learn to LOVE IT!) - The CRO has had an unusual career due to bouncing from a failing collaboration software company, to software for real estate brokers (yes, this failed too), to having one cybersecurity company do OK (although no exit). He makes cold calls which probably isn’t the best use of a exec’s time. This leadership style is a little questionable,.. - They will change your comp plan (for the worse) scamming you out of at least 10k or more. Expect this when you are evaluating your offer letter. - Their main competitor is extremely well-established. You will be cold calling into accounts that already have a competitor’s solution. - You'll interview having them tell you in a year or two you'll get promoted to: SDR to AE, or AE to CAM/SAE/DiroS... This is a pipe dream you shouldn't buy into. -Product road map is,... well,... nonexistent.
