    Pros

    - Career progression.
    - Staff discount.
    - Flexible shift changes.
    - Staff are some of the best people you will ever work with.

    Cons

    - Salary for this position in particular is very poor, nowhere near what it should be.
    - Salary in this company isn’t great.
    - Hardly ever feel appreciated for hard work.
    - Lack of training for new starters.

    Advice to Management

There are a lot of JD employees out there that put this job before their life. They simply do not get paid enough for their commitment to their job. Some don’t even get paid for their extra hours, but without these employees, the company wouldn’t be where it is now.

I have been working at JD Sports Fashion part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great workplace friendships created
    - Everyone helps everyone

    Cons

    - Management can sometimes not sort out problems that you may have (like rota issues etc) instantly and so it’s down to you to remind them time and time again to change it
    - My rota near enough every week had a problem with regards to the availability that I gave them and then putting me in on the days I couldn’t do.
    - You don’t get commission on the add on products that you sell with the shoes (like crep) and there are no incentives for you to sell them.

    Advice to Management

    - Look at the availability of your staff members and create the rotas around that so that you aren’t understaffed because half the people you put in shouldn’t be working Wednesday (for example).
