I worked at JOEY Restaurants full-time

    Pros

Good training programs. In house competitions. Lots of oppourtunities to advance within the company. Provide uniforms. Team work is encouraged on a daily basis.

    Cons

Very strict adherence to menu's designed out of house. This can strangle creativity in a young chef. Sometimes need to work until 3 in the morning.

I worked at JOEY Restaurants full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great if it’s your first serving job, and will train you without prior experience. Flexible scheduling, shift changes and vacation requests due to large staff size.

    Cons

Terrible company culture. They try to make everyone fit into a cookie cutter version of what Joey staff is supposed to act like. They reward those who fall in line, but will take away shifts when you don’t. Small 4 table sections and ~6% tip out with zero floor support. Tip out is redistributed to hostesses and BOH (as it should be), but remaining tip out goes to underpaid floor managers instead of hiring server support.
