Pros

Good pay, good benefits, nice awards every year.

Cons

Company policies changed every other week. No overtime paid to maintenance who puts their families on hold. No structure in work place. People late every day and not held to standard. If you've been an employee for over 3-4 years, it's like they give you a pass. ( poor workmanship, late, leave early ). Once you agree on hourly wage they pretty much keep you there with no raises. Review process a joke. They make things up to keep your score low so they can give you minimum raise of .20 cents or so. Regional managers make property managers their puppets. I'm so glad I left this company.

Pros

Invested in me, transparent, experienced CO team, technology savvy, values feedback, encourages productivity, sets expectations, talented associates, team morality, I enjoy comming to work everyday. JVM is passionate to produce positive results. I look forward in advance my career within JVM while also balancing my role as a wife, mother and daughter. I sincerely feel they respect my personal values and development goals.

Cons

Trial and error can reveal growth opportunities. Who doesn't strive to become better? Being open to change is necessary to ensure moving in a forward direction. Policies will be updated as necessary. Embrace success for all. If a problem arises, be apart of a solution. As an associate who values JVM culture it offends me to read any review that suggests anything other than our core values, vision and mission and my personal fave: Our Creed. If I have a "con" to express I feel it is more productive to give a solution to discuss and though the correct channel, my supervisor. Everyone's time has value.

Pros

Budget allowance provided for resident events was nice, not always provided to spend or to use all of it. The amount budgeted was nice anyways.

Cons

Review quarterly but raises only given once per year & typically just at mandatory increase of 2.20% (next to nothing) but expect you to work the roles of many titles & pay you for one. Not evolving quick enough with their downtown communities or care to implement change requests from employees in a timely manner without jumping through hoops of fire to get heard.

Thank you for your feedback and advice. Speaking Straight is one of our many valuable fundamentals at JVM. I agree with you in that listening to our associates and then communicating a response to the concern is critical. Can we improve in this area? Absolutely, and we will! Consistent behavior in line with the JVM Fundamentals is our daily goal. Feedback, whether it is good or bad, is a gift. My focus will be to listen, communicate and walk the talk! Respectfully, Lecia Anderson
