I worked at Jacada Travel full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Overall, Jacada was an incredible place to work - great bunch of people, professional yet fun work environment, competitive commission structure, beautiful office. No micromanagement and a very collaborative culture with everyone really friendly and willing to help each other. I honestly looked forward to going into work each day. I will really miss working here and seeing what it could have become, but glad to have met some amazing people that I continue to call friends.

    Cons

Poor financial management. Company had a lot of potential, sad to see go under with COVID19.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Jacada Travel full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Bread, fruit, tea and coffee in the kitchen. Beautiful office space and great people. Possibility to work from home. Flexibility in working hours. Trying to keep the travel as sustainable as possible.

    Cons

Absolutely no benefits. Pension and holidays are the legal minimum. Some employees noticed that the pension was not paid in for some months but was taken out of the wages. If you work in sales you get massive bonuses, otherwise you get nothing, no matter how well you do your job or how many extra projects you take on to help the team. There is no option to get ahead in the company. They keep mentioning amazing business trips as a bonus but they are mostly reserved for the sales people. Too focused on growth which left the company struggling for money. Horrible finance management that has been going on since I started and never got better despite many promises from the CEO.

I have been working at Jacada Travel full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - central location - organic snacks & milk - great colleagues to work with

    Cons

    - payments are very frustrating, many mistakes, many risks. This has been an ongoing issue even though the CEO promises constantly to get better, but it never does - some Line Managers are not knowledgeable, with no experience and their attitude is fake, hence there is no trust - there are no employees paid to cover weekends but emergencies arise mostly on weekends because is a travel business. This is very stressfull for some Teams - Company culture prides itself to be open and multicultural but all managers are British and there is a very hard chance for Europeans or other cultures to be promoted as managers. -pension rate from the employer is at the minimum - only Sales people (Travel Designers) gets a fantastic salary and they are praised like divas in the business, like if there was no work behind the scenes, no operations, no reservations

I have been working at Jacada Travel full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Jacada is a wonderful company with a green heart and +10 years experience in Luxury Travel. I feel lucky in working in such a place with great professionals but also friends and lovely people! We have recently moved to a stunning office location in the City, with sustainable furniture and stunning decor. The list of pros is long :) - the Managing Director is the heart of the company. He is open minded, very cool, he cares about his people and listen to them, caring about every single client, always there for his team and he has a mindful approach about his business. -you are treated as individual, you are listened, in case of critical moments they listen to your opinion and your manager empowers you, they foster trust - facilities at the new office. Shower, 3 meeting rooms, 1 relaxation room - mindfulness group and individual session as benefit to employees. My professional and personal life has improved with the mindfulness approach. -pension scheme - Friday wrap-up, where we share news of the business, a wrap up of the week, we give "snaps" (we say thank you) to colleagues that have gone extra mile or helped in a specific situation. It's followed by Friday drinks - Flexi time, working from home

    Cons

    - we have 4 offices all over the world, Santiago in Chile, Cape town, Hong Kong & London. Communicate can be a challenge although we have better videoconferencing tools. Time zones and difference can be a small challenge sometimes - company is growing fast so a few processes change as a natural outcome

I have been working at Jacada Travel

    Pros

Lovely company, work life balance orientated, they respect their employee and listen to them a lot which is so appreciable. Very flexible in terms of hours, work from home and etc they make your life as easy as possible and as a result you only feel like working more and working better. Great Value, spirit and team. Seriously the best company I worked for so far. Also very involved in ecology and charity which is great to as you feel you belong to a company not only interested in making $$$ but also interested in the people and the planet.

    Cons

There is no extra benefits on top of your salary as certain company do (gym, life insurance etc). This is definitely something they should look into but really this is not a huge deal as wages are more than correct.
