I worked at Jessops part-time for less than a year

    Pros

A 'nice' sales job, comparitively speaking, and products you can take pride in. If you like cameras, this is a great way to learn more about them. On a quiet day you can check out the stock!

    Cons

Personally I received no training, and very little help from management. The pay was very poor as well.

    Pros

Great customer interaction and colleagues are great.

    Cons

Expected to do far too much for next to no pay. Pressured sales job on national minimum wage. Really?!

I worked at Jessops part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Discount was reasonable Customers were lovely Processing was fun and interesting Nice incentives for certain cameras.

    Cons

Too many managers all having different opinions which conflict! Too little recognition for sales colleagues! Never see higher ups! Contract isn’t in stone, can be changed with no notice and you’re still expected to wait 4 weeks before leaving! No appreciation from management! Management refuse to acknowledge a problem within the team after 3 people quit because of certain members, because they hit high numbers it continued!

I have been working at Jessops full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Some great people work there

Terrible management both at store and national level. Minimum wage despite the fact all employees are expected to learn about every camera that is sold.

I worked at Jessops part-time for more than a year

I have been working at Jessops full-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get to meet interesting people. Money off cameras and accessories. Free printing service when the managers off. Staff have similar interests in photography.

    Cons

Very long hours for minimum wage. Zero hours contracts as well. Boring work day when few customers come in. No phones allowed at all for the lower employees. Head office and the web team are completely useless and the sales assistants are the ones who get to deal with the complaints. Always being told to boost sales and add ons which is incredibly hard when no customers come through the door.
