    Early finish on a Friday (although you work 40+ hours a week, so it's not as great as it sounds).

    Cons

    I can’t speak for other teams, but the Marketing department is a very old-school, corporate environment. It’s run by a boy’s club at the top, who seem to be fast-tracked and favoured for made-up promotions that aren’t advertised internally or externally. If you can strut around in a suit and shout the loudest then this might be the place for you. During my time there, I heard senior management and director level... make numerous derogatory and unprofessional comments about female employees, in some sort of Mad-Men-wannabee style pursuit. Truly an unpleasant place to work. For a company that is apparently investing so much in digital, optimisation and data science, their efforts are wasted as any new initiatives get blocked by the CEO anyway in favour of more old-school, knee-jerk reaction ways of working, using intimidation tactics which are unfortunately filtered down the hierarchy. This is not a digital company, but a company who is putting up the facade of a digital marketing / tech department to keep up appearances with their competitors. There are no regular salary reviews, no opportunities for progression and zero benefits, not even employee discounts on flights. Hours are long and unflexible...forget about working from home, even if you have doctors appointments or a valid reason you'll have to fight your corner. No wonder they are losing so many switched-on employees to other companies, get with the times.

    Advice to Management

    Adopt a more modern way of working, and let your employees do their jobs rather than being continually dictated by “gut instincts” of senior management / CEO. Offer clear progression paths for employees, and stop the hierarchal favouritism which seems to fast-track certain people to undeserved promotion, otherwise you’ll have no-one left below you to actually do the work.

    Great welcome into the company, team leaders can be great,

    Cons

    Very high turnover of staff, a lot of staff are worried about their roles and probation reviews are seen as a threat rather than positive. A lot of staff are looking at leaving the company.

    Advice to Management

    Look at coaching staff before probation reviews rather than bringing faults up at probation reviews that haven’t been discussed in the 3 months prior

    Passengers, pay, fair roster and again passengers.

    Cons

    8 crew out of 10 were very rude with not English people. They started create an unpleasant and unfriendly atmosphere in the crew room during pre-flight briefings already and this continued on the plane and affected the whole flight as the crew make your day. Several SCC and CC were Rude as well with other cc in front of passengers. Massively unprofessional, this is not team work. I was horrified.

    Advice to Management

    Start training courses about good manners and respect as well and verify that the company’s values are actually followed at all levels and with Everyone as a bad and Rude crew affect the whole flight with consequence for passengers above all. Being polite and respectful is free of charge and those who do not have these values should not represent a company that make the same values as a milestone. Take actions about... discrimination as it is a serious threat for the good image and reputation of the company.
