I have been working at Jet2.com full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Mediocre salary, but a salary nonetheless. Pension is alright.

    Cons

Poor roster, high levels of fatigue, old school operation, old and unreliable aircraft, first come first serve holiday, no discounted flights for staff, brain washed employees, poor training, unreasonable progression opportunities

    Advice to Management

Make the company a nice place to work. Get more crew, improve the roster, don’t use FTLs as a target, give staff benefits such as staff travel, scrap the older aircraft in the fleet.

Not many at all, perhaps money is above average but not worth the drama for the extra.

    Cons

Poor management, bullies. Everyone in the OCC are small minded individuals. More interested in knowing their own little circle then welcome others.

    Advice to Management

    Get a grip.

Working for the 2nd best travel company in the uk, better for customers than employees. Staff are brilliant under pressure will all pull together

No more that statutory benefits. Only statutory mat pay, sick pay etc. Depending on department different shifts and guidelines re working hours e.g. 37.5 or 40 hours

    Advice to Management

    More flexible working conditions

    I worked at Jet2.com full-time

    Pros

I worked at the city centre location in Leeds:
    - City centre location which is easily accessible
    - Free tea/coffee
    - Good introduction to the Scrum methodology for those who have never worked in an agile team before

    Cons

    - zero flexibility, the hours are set in stone, you either work from 08;00 to 17:00, or 08:30 to 17:30, and the manager's have the temerity to call this 'flexi-time'.
    - No opportunities to work from home
    - Favouritism abounds, if your face doesn't fit you will never progress
    - No reward or recognition scheme
    - No clear career paths or pastoral support
    - Staff are expected to pay for their own Christmas party
    - Staff are expected to come into the office to work the following afternoon after they have worked on an overnight release
    - High staff turnover
    - Below average number of days for annual leave
    - Pitiful employee pension contribution
    - No car parking facilities
    - Very much a top-down approach to working, directives would often be sent down from senior managers and those working on the front line would be expected to drop everything at a moments notice

    Advice to Management

Please come into the 21st century, working practices have moved on from the rigid days of 9-5 at an office desk, offer more benefits to staff and provide incentives for them to stay, otherwise you will continue to haemorrhage talented employees.

    I worked at Jet2.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The airline treats the passengers well just a shame it's not the same for the crew. No pros to share otherwise.

    Cons

    Poor management

No feedback given to you at the end of the flight so you do not know what your manager is putting in your personal development reviews. How do we improve?
Base managers never bothered to communicate with crew never mind look at you.

Everyone is so competitive. Dog eat dog environment as everyone is fighting for permanent contracts.
Every holiday request I put in would be declined with no reason to why.

If you get stuck down route due to technical fault the company do not put you up in a hotel and will leave you on the aircraft with no food or water facilities for hours in the scorching heat until they can find you a flight back with another airline to operate as a passenger although you've been operating for over 20 hours that day!.

No union for crew so the airline just walks all over you.
You pay over £1000 for training and accommodation and they might not bring you back the following year.

Seasonal contract so your paid part year and get laid off for 5 months every year until they offer you a permanent which takes 4-6 years.

No benefits for employees. 10% discount on holidays. There's no standby travel for crew or friends and family.

The company also takes money out of your wage if the bar doesn't add up at the end of the flight. Even though it may be a computer/catering issue.
