I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Plenty of opportunity for career growth if that is what you are striving for. Also great options for work from home opportunities in most Salt Lake and Orlando positions, but not all. Good Benefits. The company really does try to stay true to their core values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun!

    Cons

Working nights, weekends, holidays and code red (mandatory overtime) can be tough, especially when you are starting out and bottom of seniority. But this is necessary as the airline business is a 24/7 operation.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay, flight benefits, Jetblue Scholars (which is currently delayed and many are on a waitlist due to budget restraints, and increased interest), good medical coverage with reasonably priced premiums, 401k match + 5% (you contribute 5%, Jetblue contributes 5% to match PLUS an additional 5% = 15% total), benefits such as Healthy Mom and Happy Baby programs along with medical, plus Healthy Rewards dollars to earn...

    Cons

Downsides are 24/7 and 365 day operation. Flight benefits are nice, but standby can be stressful and overwhelming. No tuition reimbursement, just JetBlue Scholars which currently has many on a waitlist. Decent pay, though not competitive amongst other companies nearby.

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - The people you work with do whatever they can to get things done. - Fellow Crewmembers share a common goal. - Flight benefits are good when you can use them.

    Cons

Despite a great culture, the leadership at JetBlue plays nothing but favorites. Crewmembers are told they need to forge their own path forward and to make yourself marketable. This is impossible to do when Crewmembers are promoted based on who they know, who stays out the latest and what project you're on. Trainings and advancement opportunities are evasive. For example, they have a POL program (Principles of Leadership)...

    Advice to Management

Promote from within but keep the integrity value. This has been missing from JetBlue for so many years. There are people in management who have no place being there. The quarterly offsites just show how much favoritism there is. You'll get promoted faster if you work on revenue generating projects.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The culture at JetBlue is great. You will enjoy going to work based on the people you work with. There is flexibility with some positions and they will try their best to ensure you are satisfied with your role.

    Cons

Processes and procedures are overly gray and will frustrate you. The focus is solely on the customer and improvements to internal tech to better support your role is incredibly difficult to attain.

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Flight Benefits and location of the office

    Cons

Everything other than flight benefits. The culture in the Salt Lake office is horrible. I worked there for over 11 years and it was 11 years too long. The culture preaches "we are a family" yet when it comes down to it, they don't have your back. I watched them turn on people time and time again. It is mainly run by a bunch of uneducated women who don't know the first thing about business outside of JetBlue because...

    Advice to Management

Hire from outside the company to get a more diverse work force. Your customer support center leaders are a joke.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Nice people. Flight benefits.

    Cons

Very limited growth unless you're "popular". Favoritism ...Favoritism ....Favoritism Low pay. That's why ppl (even leadership) leave the company.

    Advice to Management

multiple departments need better leadership. a lot of the manager and above can get that position because they stayed in the company forever.

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Free flight perks, exposure to the inner workings of a Fortune 500 company.

    Cons

Where do I start...JetBlue was a great company, they kicked out the original CEO and founder in 2007, then in 2015 they kicked out the 2nd CEO (also a founder) and ditched humanity to pursue brown-nosing to Wall St. JetBlue lost focus of showering customers with that enjoyable travel experience they once pioneered, and also slipped in their appreciation of the precious resource that built their Brand, the Crewmembers....

    Advice to Management

Sweet talk Wall St to keep them quiet, but focus on what really matters (dare I say like Southwest Airlines), focus on making your employees happy and in turn they will make the customers happy, which in turn will make your shareholders happy. Recognize the high turnover rate, it should be a metric on the Quarterly earnings calls, and put the focus back where it belongs, the employees and the customers, Wall St will be...
