I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Travel benefits, profit sharing, continued education

    Cons

Training is weak, seems to breed a "you're replaceable attitude", still trying to find organizational balance

    Advice to Management

While JetBlue is an ontime airline; working in major cities can be a commuter challange. Shorten intro period; allow for more flexibility in work life balance.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Really None other then the flight benefits

    Cons

Teamwork sucked JFK Airport Pay was a joke for the kinda work you do Can't accept tips there's always someone watching and it's their policy that you can't there are no bonuses there is no rehiring policy so if you get fired you cannot come back ever upper management at Long Island City are just a bunch of pushovers current and former crew member's. are treated like crap

    Advice to Management

and overall reconstruction of management isn't needed with some sort of rehiring policy especially when general managers and department managers promise that you can get rehired when you really can't

I worked at JetBlue part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working in Ground Operations is insanely easy. You work hard for 45 minute bursts, and often have hour or more breaks between flights. Once you get to know your team members, it's very easy to establish a rhythm and the basic tasks become natural.

    Cons

There is a high turn-over rate. Among the employees that stick around for over a year, there is a heavy sense of entitlement, however that can be expected when much of what happens to an employee is based on his/her seniority with the company. Performance is rarely a relevant factor. The company preaches the values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun, and it is clear that the further down the list you go, the...

    Advice to Management

Don't pay to send a new hire to Florida for a week of classroom training, provide a $600+ complimentary uniform, and have no issue firing probationary employees for being late. The company could save a lot of money to adopt more conventional training programs and less draconian disciplinary measures. However, JetBlue just opened a multimillion dollar training dormitory. Where is that money going to be made back?

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Travel benefits are amazing. Schedule extremely flexible.

    Cons

Treatment of employees once they get hurt on the job is horrendous. Used they flexibility againt me. and left me with a permanent injury to my back and terminated my employment. Only abides by the own rules when convinient and also poor management in key bluecities hides most problems that the company has at stations at the expense of the employees.

    Advice to Management

Stick to your values. These are meant for costumers and employees alike. Care for your employees especially when they are dealing with injuries and hardship. Also audit your own stations and a unexpected time. You will see what really goes on that's not written on the reports send to corporate

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fantastic Company, great people to work with, no complaints at all..

    Cons

Veterans usually like to slack, management needs a little more training in managing and not in the office.

    Advice to Management

Try looking out the window or out the office and see what is going on...

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

JetBlue is very generous with flight benefits. Direct deposit is reliable. There is a large TV in the break room and couches in the locker room.

    Cons

If I could go back in time, I would never have worked for this company. They are involved in an endless struggle of codifying the terms of employment and performance. The recruitment process is an absolute joke. It has improved over the years, however the target selection process doesn't always yield the best results.

    Pros

    flight benefits only nothing else

    Cons

working full time schedule with part time money

    Advice to Management

be upfront on interviews that you will be a slave to the company as a part time employee company will squeeze full time hours without givining you time for your personal life and pay would be almoust none what will make you keep your full time jobs somewhere else or just plain quit lots of racial favoritism at the station very unprofessional management and sups make me really proud to leave this company and focus...

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you enjoy traveling and career advancement this can be a good place to work in, the company is growing and getting better each fical year.

    Cons

If you are a full time employee, flexibility can be a little harder since attendance is strictly enfforced. Unless you have no children, no school and just a free individual deducating your free time to working then full time is suitable but other than that part time is the best way to go around.

    Advice to Management

Management should make medical benefits equal and lower to all employees. There is no legit reason as to why part time employees have different medical coverage than full timers. Another thing, management should not have increased the 2013 health benefits to the highest the industry has ever seen. Your company calls for "Fun, Safety, Passion and Caring" please try to act what you preach. The company is great no doubt,...

I worked at JetBlue part-time for more than a year

    Pros

In my opinion, JetBlue is the best airline available. From the fees to the personnel behind the ticket counter to the baggage handlers. Competitive pay and the free flights to wherever JetBlue flies is definitely a plus.

    Cons

Since JetBlue is such a close knit family, there is some favoritism in some of the day to day dealings. Certain groups ban together... and if you are on the outside of the bond, things may not go as fair for you as it would for others.

    Advice to Management

Not to Management but to Corporate: take a closer look at who you have at certain stations and make sure that the dealings with the employees are fair and just. I am not disgruntled but a person that put his heart and soul into working 17 hr days as a part-time employee.
