I have been working at JetBlue full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours, paid vactions, you make your own schedule . Several breaks and oppurtunities for advancement . No union so they still try to keep it that way

    Cons

Sometimes lazy co workers , Hard work during busy season. Out in the hot sun. Lifting heavy bags. Have a lot of crap you have to answer for if you make a mistake, no sweeping it under the rug.

    I worked at JetBlue

    Pros

Flying on stand by Alot of free time in between flights Good workout

    Cons

Bad breathing environment Unfair work conditions Incompetent Managers Coworkers that don't take their job seriously

    Advice to Management

I would say to take more recognition when someone does a good job and to pay more for mandatory stay due to weather conditions. I also feel that there should be more organization and Jetblue should enforce strict consequences when employees don't show up for your flight when it comes in and you are a short two guys pulling in a plane is extra work on everyone else that actually came to work.

I have been working at JetBlue

    Pros

It's a growing company and the benefits are great if you and your family likes to travel. Shift trades is also great, allows you to make adjustment to take care of personal things or attend school.

    Cons

Supervisors and management only think about their personal gain within the company, and there is no togetherness within the departments. Blame Always roll down hill to save one's job.

    Advice to Management

Care for your workers like you say you care for the customers. Hire quality not quantity.

I have been working at JetBlue

    Pros

They treat their employees like family, and make the right decisions thinking of the family. Lots of room for advancement, and when you relocate for a promotion, they treat you very very well. Just about all of the crew members are proud to work for jetblue, and they understand the need for a work/home life balance.

    Cons

long hours for management, senior management doesn't always look at the big picture and they lack the necessary communication skills to tell crewmembers what is going on with the company, they sugar coat it more often than not. Very rarely do entry level crew members receive recognition for a job well done

    Advice to Management

it's not all about T5, there are other blue cities to think of

I have been working at JetBlue

    Pros

JetBlue is an amazing place to work... Not only for the benefits. I have been there for a little over a year and feel like I have built a second family. For the most part, the supervisors are extremely supportive. They are willing to help you out any way that they can, regardless if it has to do with work or not. They are open and will come to you if any problems arise. They show appreciation when you go above and beyond....

    Cons

Downsides... Well, I can't think of a whole lot. Right now we are somewhat short staffed. We are in the process of hiring new crewmembers but it seems like the hiring process takes so long. I know that the hiring process is thorough but I think that the higher ups wait until the last minute to hire new people. This needs to be addressed. Also, I think that management needs to be more involved with the stations. Our specific...

    Advice to Management

I think that Senior Management needs to be more involved. Instead of just being at the job... Actually BE around. See what we go through during the operation of a day. You can't rely on just what people say. You need to be in the operation.

    I worked at JetBlue

    Pros

It all started Great! obviously you get flying for free. and being able to work as many hours as you desire. Great co-workers that are on the same level as you. Long breaks in between assignments. breaks were awsome. plenty of access to computers. Huge screen Television. They give you your uniform. They send you to Orlando for 2 weeks just to train. Basically, you could get any days off you wanted. Your schedule is set....

    Cons

Leadership, Leadership, Leadership. Management was the worst part of the job. They were the most arrogant, Sarcastic, and unsupportive supervisors and managers that I have worked with. They picked favorites. The people who "suck up" or are the "brown nosers" are the ones that got treated with respect. The reason why I was terminated was because of an attendance issue. I was late about 10 times in 10 months for no more...

    Advice to Management

I feel that as a whole company everyone is fairly happy with the way they work. but if you step down from the whole company perspective and zeroed in on each individual region, down to the city, down to the department, and finally down to each individual crew member I am sure you will get a huge variety of reviews. I knew people who loved the company loved getting walked on and disrespected. while others, like me who...
