I worked at JetBlue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company itself gives back to the community, training you are set up with food, lodging and pay

    Cons

Managers never make it a point to get to know you (especially when you're brand new), 10hr "on-call" shifts that are unpaid

    Advice to Management

Get to know your crew (you wouldn't have a job if it weren't for customers and crew members), offer advice and reassurance, be present

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Exciting period of growth with positive changes to product and routes. Generally little time spent on reserve Scheduling flexibility Flight benefits Employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, employee perks, public transportation allowance).

    Cons

Company sometimes struggles while navigating new changes and policies, which leads to frustration among employees. Handing of irregular winter operations improves very little from year to year. Poor relationship between Crew Scheduling and working crew. Not unusual for employees to feel that management "does not have their back."

    Advice to Management

Taking an interest in crew opinions through surveys is positive and appreciated; frustration comes when it feels like crew feedback is not being heard.

I worked at JetBlue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

New facilities, with delicious food. Family atmosphere. Positive support of troops - reservists and veterans alike. Safety first. Ever expanding company.

    Cons

Tough job to get used to at first. Long separations from home/loved ones at first. Hard to find a crash pad. Especially if you are older. I definitely had more issues with the crash pads (3 in 6 months) than the job itself.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working here has given me the chance to be based in my hometown. It is an AMAZING company to work for.

    Cons

Small things as far as clear cut work rules need to change

    Advice to Management

Truly listen to your crewmembers. Give Inflight a REAL voice, and not just a voice to make suggestions that you eventually override.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Very laid-back work atmosphere; No micromanagement; Wonderful crewmembers; Company as a whole is mindful & sustainable

    Cons

Starting pay is horrific and well below poverty line for flight attendants; Leadership is overwhelmed and disorganized; during irregular operations too many crewmembers are left with no hotel accommodations and totally neglected; no union so work rules are constantly changing, and verbiage is VERY gray and works in management's favor instead of crewmembers'.

    Advice to Management

Pay your crewmembers more. Have a better and more secure safety net for inflight crewmembers during IROPs.

I worked at JetBlue full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They have great travel benefits. Your travel companion and family can all fly for free. You can also fly in other airlines and fly internationally on other carriers after your 6 month probation

    Cons

The biggest con is that upper management can not be trusted. The work rules are in the grey. They seem to only be concerned with the customers. There is no union.

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I truly enjoyed my coworkers and the job as a whole for just shy of 13 years. I have seen the job and company change in that time, but what company doesn't. If you love to travel and you love people, go for it!

    Cons

This lifestyle is not for the faint of heart but that is not specific to the company, only to the profession. Go in knowing you may not get a holiday off and reserve is no fun.

    Advice to Management

It is time to stop straddling the fence, you shouldn't get to hide from reserve by being a supervisor or doing a special assignment and then go back out on the line. It is not fair to those who pay their dues in the jumpseat. Management and Inflight should be separated.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Listens to employees, travel benefits, great company culture

    Cons

Other airlines pay more, but I think our culture makes up for it

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people you work with are the best in the industry. Fun, one of a kind culture. Move up from reserve pretty quickly. Flexibility. Travel Benefits.

    Cons

Pay is not comparable to the rest to the rest of the industry for a mainline carrier. Part-time is not obtainable until you have been with the company for about 3 years. Lots of Grey areas in the work rules.
