I have been working at JetBlue part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Travel benefits Flying paying the taxes for international flights

    Cons

Pretty low salary in DR The Local Admins, specially the CEO in the country is not well prepared and nor a good profesional. He is against anyone who is growing in the company.

    Advice to Management

Changing Management. And making sure they help people growing up instead of pushing them down.

I have been working at JetBlue part-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Incredibly diverse set of colleagues A grass-roots work environment where you feel like a professional Great travel benefits, access to health and dental at 30 hours, performance bonuses and profit sharing no matter how low you are on the totem pole, Easy to trade to tailor your schedule to your life after 90 days. Great training down in Florida. Very good direct relationship between crew and management. No union...

      Cons

The company is evolving from founding principles slightly and work conditions are slowly changing too to look like the big guys. Like any airline job, you can get bounced quickly if you aren't dependable (on-time, safe, polite to colleagues. (this is actually also a plus of working for Jet Blue if you care about your work) Low "top out" for senior hourly employees compared to major airlines. Seemingly many mid-managers...

      Advice to Management

More talented (and otherwise experienced) part timers in the field should be encouraged to rise into management positions to help the HQ local station disconnect. Stay consistent with info and policy flows in the company.

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Excellent opportunity for advancement, fantastic travel benefits, competitive pay.

      Cons

Sometimes the ideas brewing in some high level executive meeting rooms make their way into the frontlines, with zero checks and balances. Sometimes in the face of adversity, middle management will vaporize years of good will gained from their staff for the sake of the bottom line and to impress upper management.

      Advice to Management

Optimization by means of stretching schedules, is always a bad idea. Your frontline employees i.e. Flight Attendant, Pilots, Check in personnel, are the reason this company rose so quickly and became the darling of aviation. Be mindful that by flying or working these employees to edge of the envelope with minimum rest days and not balancing that equation with pay packages, you burn the candle at both ends. I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

Good Travel Benefits when you can get on the flights.

      Cons

Has no consideration for people who built the company. Decided to go with cheap labor and find excuses to get rid of established workers.

      Advice to Management

Put the right people into the right positions and listen to the workers who work their specific jobs. We don't need experienced supervisors and managers telling us what to do.
