    I have been working at Jive Software full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The management is clear and transparent. The Executive team is visible and accessible. The communication is very transparent. Colleagues are friendly and supportive. There is a vision with a clear roadmap to follow and an amazing team to execute on it.

    Cons

    Some processes could be sleeker and more embedded but you could argue that too much processes kill agility.

    Advice to Management

    Keep the great work.

    Pros

    Great products suite. Really cool UK office. Others in EMEA could be better but U.K. Is very nice. Some really good people who work hard. Celebrating the success in deals is always good.

    Cons

    A couple of bad people at de top of EMEA stack. Constant bullying and boring meeting monologue. This is a shame because it's not the effective way of management.

    Advice to Management

    Stop pushing. Start pulling. Especially in all of Europe. You may call this better leadership.

    Pros

    Not really - maybe the snack but then again many companies offer these to employees anyway

    Cons

    Rubbish managers in EMEA support team. Worst I have seen in my life. All liars and lack experience - really shocked to see some have even made it to 'directors'.

    Advice to Management

    Get you act together and get some management training. You do realise the huge turnover when it comes to staff. That should give you a clue.

    I worked at Jive Software full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Is a bag of crisps, a slice of toast, a can of drink or even a twix really considered a pros for working somewhere. Because free snacks and drinks are the only pros you will get whilst working at Jive.

    Cons

    The bullying behaviour of so-called leaders in Reading and the weak wimps in the US finally took their toll on the marketing staff. Good people leave this company all the time. A revolving door. Those who stay are forced to write good reviews. Don't be fooled by lies and liars.

    Advice to Management

    Greedy people with no class and no manners.

    Pros

    You get some great benefits such as free food and drink and you get to work within a great team.

    Cons

    There is no room from progression within EMEA and the management of technical team are not very technical and rely on unfeasible statistics and reports.

    Advice to Management

    Use better measurement for technical teams and try and get more technical management to lead the teams.

    I have been working at Jive Software full-time

    Pros

    * Great Customer
    * Mostly talented individuals
    * Free snacks and drinks
    * Mostly flexibility in the way you work

    Cons

    * Employee turnover rate is far too high
    * Frequent change in direction distract from your work
    * There's perceived favoritism and cultural values/behaviors are not consistently reinforced.
    * It seems that the executive leadership is disconnected from the rest.
    * There is a feeling that this is the last push before takeover.
    * Zero professional training
    * Zero career path

    Advice to Management

    I guess you are trying but it isn't enough, not sure what else can be done to transform pure frustration into positive direction.

    Star Star Star Star Star

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    I worked at Jive Software full-time

    Pros

    - Best in class technology. If you leave the company you will find it hard to work the "old way".
    - Pays well.
    - Ahead of its time in terms of technology.
    - Great place to start.
    - Lot's of benefits and perks.

    Cons

    - Market, prospect customers generally not yet ready to change the way it works.
    - Its former leadership "lost the trains" in terms of acquisitions and now it is too small to win against bigger organisations.
    - Raising costs and plummeted stock share price doesn't signal a bright future for the organisation.
    - Some of the management doesn't really understand how working in the EU differs from the US, causing an issue when you are in the middle.
    - Not clear future career prospects as the company doesn't seem able to grow further.

    I worked at Jive Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Had an absolute blast as a Jiver for almost six years, and I have to say that my fellow Jivers were the most fun colleagues to work with in my entire career, I also miss Jive the product, not having that brilliant collaboration platform is terribly difficult as the company I have worked for the past 16 months struggles to collaborate effectively without such a tool, but what I really miss the most is the awesome Jivers.

    Cons

    Non really, at least for me, I have worked for several US West Coast start-ups and I am used to working hard with long hours at pace throughout my career, you either like that environment or you don't.

    Advice to Management

    Try and keep the Jive spirit alive as long as possible.

    Pros

    This is the best place I have ever worked, genuinely like every single team mate, open friendly politics free culture, you're valued and respected.

    Cons

    Some unprofessional people were hired in the past, who upon leaving, have been doing nothing but writing negative reviews about Jive. I mean, seriously, who complains about free food as a con?

    Advice to Management

    Keep Jive as awesome as it is
