      Mixed Feelings

      Pros

Great knowledgable and friendly people to work with. Good perks (share scheme, pension, lifecover, medical cover). Flexible working, independent style of working. Treat with respect, can learn a lot from the people who work here! Management are very friendly and approachable.

      Cons

Would say there is too much middle management, e.g FIVE managers overseeing a 10 person group. Some have poor management skills on how to develop their employees. Recruitment/ progression are still biased toward a PhD and they will start on much higher salaries (but could well be doing the same job as a masters grad or a bachelors grad). Would say there is minor favouritism, but nothing blatantly obvious, as it’s quite a professional environment people don’t often discuss their progression, but it’s clear who’s top and who’s bottom due to morale.

      Pros

Training opportunities do exist if you're lucky with your manager, collaboration encouraged (f not always acted on) Good pension (until they change it!)

      Cons

Constant change Low pay Very poor management - no decision makers/leaders Whoever speaks loudest is listened to most, even if they talk nonsense Terrible HR No one can make a decision If something seems like a good idea, everyone gets involved and drags the progress down until it becomes another failure Sales constantly agree to ridiculous targets that overload the rest of the team Sales never listen to advice, upset employees and customers Some of the worst facilities I've ever seen No career progression

      Pros

Stable businesses. A lot of opporrunities to develop your career. Numvers of nice and good people.

      Cons

Poor management. Don't care about good working people. Not ethical. Personal preferences visible. Doesn't matter how hard you work, nobody will stop you to go even if you have long service knowledge and always good feedback! Don't waste your time too long if you feel something is not quite right. HR won't support. Care of yourself. Sad :(
