Pros

Most of the people are great, free product from time to time and yoga. Snacks.

Cons

Like the title says, most of the negative reviews cover all of the issues. With all the layoffs that happened over the last year, you can probably find someone in your area of interest and read their horror story. As for the positive reviews, well pretty sure that anyone can see they are to written by HR to help raise Julep's ratings. When you read those you can see that half of the review are excuses as to WHY people are being over worked, under paid, ignored and so on. The best example I've read of what it's like to work here is the one comparing this company to a toxic relationship. The one where you don't realize how bad it is until you're out. Work here at your own risk. However, they are losing so many people now that you may get a good 6 months of exceptional treatment and perks so you don't leave.

Unhealthy Company Culture

Pros

I worked there for over a year in a senior management position with some really wonderful people who are genuinely trying to build a good company. Love most of the products and still use a lot of them.

Cons

Unfortunately, Julep is a mess with an unhealthy culture that starts with senior leadership and trickles all the way down. CEO has created a culture of blame and hinges most major decisions solely on her own opinion. She's hired good people with experience but doesn't listen to them. She's created a culture where only "yes men" stay out of trouble. CEO is smart but no one knows everything, yet she will not listen to people who know what they are talking about. There is a lot of turnover as a result. The amount of money that got wasted was staggering. I witnessed many meetings where the group agreed to something that most people in the room privately thought was a bad idea -- but no one dared speak out against the CEO. CEO is constantly smiling and telling people that Julep is one big family but I can assure you that they don't really care much about employees as individuals. "Assume Positive Intent" is something they say a lot but the culture has created an environment where most people are just trying to shift the blame on to someone else so can survive.
