I have been working at Kainos full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Ideal location for myself in Birmingham. The company looks after its employees in many respects. Works with top blue ribbon clients. The team are excellent.

    Cons

Industry pay not comparable with other similar positions across the country. Pay seems to be limited due to central office located in Norther Ireland.

I have been working at Kainos full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The overall culture is a fair and progressive one. Employees are treated as humans. The employee share scheme is a great initiative and sets an example for other organizations to follow. Casual dress code and flexible working hours, as well as the option to work from home makes Kainos a good employer. The impression you get is one that management genuinely does make an effort to make the company a good place to work for.

    Cons

The company is growing and there are growth pains being felt in certain parts of the business. Some processes and systems are not adequate for the new work load and this can leave some staff with very time consuming and inefficient manual tasks. There can also be instances where the growth makes it clear that recruitment has not kept up with growth and teams can feel the pressure at times. Central/corporate employees have felt that they are treated differently to the rest of the business. Entertainment spend for these employees has noticeably been less than those in the BUs, as well as a feeling of overall lower pay and incentives compared to the other BUs, such as a referral payment scheme being taken away for central employees for a period of time but being kept in place for the rest of the firm. This makes central employees feel like they can , at times, be seen as purely a cost to squash and often leads to central employees leaving their roles for roles in other BUs or joining other firms.

I have been working at Kainos full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fantastic team culture (even in a remote COVID based environment) CEO is undoubtedly a man of the people Great flexible work policy Supportive management + leadership Huge selections of benefits to choose from

    Cons

Salary is towards the low end of a Workday Consultant salary when looking at market averages (particularly within the test team). Progression in the team is limited from Senior Associate level upwards. Classed as specialists in particular areas of Workday despite not having the relevant Workday issued qualifications on offer.
