    Awful HR department, slow and unresponsive. IT department is slack too.

    Pros

    High quality equipment, professional staff and very intelligent people. Great place to learn and work. Recently moved to Bush house which has great working areas.

    Cons

    If you have to travel a lot then Key Travel is required which is a bit of a pain at times.

    No job security, no plan for postdocs to move them to permanent position

    Advice to Management

    Have some plans for postdocs especially from minority ethnic backgrounds

    Experience is very department dependent, and departments are spread out across London.

    Friendly atmosphere overall.

    Cons

    Teaching it's not paid, postdocs receive little support from the Department.

    Very good resources, courses, and support. You will be surround by people ready to provide help when needed. Very flexible working hours to accommodate personal circumstances (remote working, late start/finish).

    Cons

    Short research associate contracts, usually 2 years. Not a great deal of team activities (to be fair this depend on supervisor).

    Pros

    Very well connected with other universities with a lot of collaborative research programs. Excellent research facilities, state of the art equipment and easy access to cutting edge experimental methodologies

    Cons

    Campuses quite far from each other, the salary is relatively low for the amount of work that needs to be put in
