    Pros

The educational trips are great. You get to see some beautiful countries and stay in some lovely hotels.

    Cons

Unrealistic targets (unless you make working for Kuoni and hitting your targets your life) Kuoni will infiltrate your work life balance with excessive workloads which is fine but your pay won't represent the amount or work you do. Pressure filled work environment. Working 8 hour days and only being allowed a half hour lunch break, being forced to wear a dress and high heels. Being contacted on your days off.

    Pros

One big family! Great teams, products and Senior Management. Realistic targets for those who knuckled down. Amazing worldwide fam trips. MD Derek Jones and Sales Director Helen Roberts are both very well respected within the company and also the wider travel industry.

    Cons

Recruitment and retention. Due to the nature of the sales role, it was hard to recruit and retain the right calibre of candidate for in-store Personal Travel Experts. (PTE) To succeed, often the hours worked were longer than contracted and the product and systems took a while to embed . However, as with anything in life you only get out what you are prepared to put in.

    Mixed review

    Pros

    - Exclusive Product - Good atmosphere at Head office, less so for shops - Great CEO and SENIOR management team

    Cons

    - Earnings (working in a shop will see you spend lots of time collecting glasses, saucers, Champagne, coffee and teas, pouring drinks, stacking brochures, cleaning desks and fluffing pillows. Frustrating for a commission orientated sales professional. - Some store managers lack people skills, commercial awareness, travel industry experience. - Out of 104 weekend days a year I worked 76 of them, often several full weekends in a row. - No flexibility to adjust prices. I spent 9 hours with a client in store, then another 8 building various itineraries. Scott Dunn could offer £3k less and my manager let the sale go despite the client saying he only needs us to take £1k off and he will book with us. This was a booking with £7k profit, leaving £6k if we had offered the discount. Wasted my time and saw the client book with Scott Dunn. - Good for first job in travel but average IQ of typical store agent is very low. If you want to work with intellectual minds stay away from retail stores. - Pay is extremely low. In the three years since I have left Kuoni I have moved to another luxury tour operator and earned some £16,000 more each year and been sent on far better, tailored luxury fam trips.

The people definitely make it. It's also a very flexible office allowing you to find a work style that suits you.

    Cons

Very poor pay for very few benefits.

Great company to work for, but not paid well and targets are often unachievable without doing overtime

    Pros

Great perks - average of 3 trips every two years. Industry events Great staff Stunning head office

    Cons

Often unachievable targets without having to work longer hours than expected. Peak season targets are upwards of £150k, and during the year can be anywhere from £50k to £100k. Very low base salary, and with high targets, makes living in London very difficult if you want to be able to afford better than the value range at supermarkets.
