Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Kura full-time
Pros
The people in my training group were nice and that’s the only thing that got me through the hellish experience
Cons
Where do I begin. This is the worst job I have ever had in my life. Please avoid at all costs. I finished training in March, did ONE half day of phone calls and then COVID happened. We were given PC’s to work from home. At first we were put on emails for a few weeks which was fine as I had little to no experience being on the phones. However, they just randomly sprung on us that the next day we’d be taking phone calls from home and that we’d have their “full support” LOL. I get that we had to take phone calls eventually as that’s our job but there was 0 support for the new starts. There was a WhatsApp group set up where you could ask questions and you’d get a reply 20 mins later “sorry hunni did u figure it out?” Or there was an online POD chat you could use where the replies would take a good 5-10 mins and the agents replying would be cheeky and arrogant even tho I was a new start and had no clue what I was doing. All the while managers are constantly phoning and texting u asking “r u okay?” Cause you have a customer on hold but there was no support put in place to actually help you resolve the calls. Additionally, KURA preach that they care about mental health. I took a short amount of time off as my MH was suffering after the first weeks on phones. Manager phoned and said that the 2 days off was fine but basically any more time off n I wouldn’t pass my probation. The same happened to a number of my colleagues. Don’t get me started on the actual office. The ladies toilets are comparable to the ape enclosure at Edinburgh zoo. In the short 2 months I was actually in office for training I seen used tampons/pads on the floors, faeces on toilet seats and on the toilet walls!!!, toilets were constantly blocked, urine on the floors and toilet paper/rubbish blocking the sinks. I could go on and on about the stench but I think you can imagine how disgusting this place is. I felt extremely undervalued at KURA and the management were arrogant, rude and so incredibly unorganised. I wish I never took the job there because it was terrible for my mental health. Another point to add. Myself and a few colleagues were speaking about our MH to a supervisor as working from home was difficult for us etc and he said “I know it’s difficult. why don’t you try putting on your KURA name badge to sit at ur home pc. It will feel like ur actually at work”

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Kura full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
City centre location. Handy for motorway. Lost of choice of desks and homeworking possible
Cons
Management team are kids who don't have any managerial skills. They lack people skills and communication. During lockdown whilst working from home, minimal contact from management during investment time we are told to chill. Brought up to HR. Just told it would be fedback to ops. The operations team seriously need to look at the way they are treating their staff. They have great ideas if only it was followed through. A company dedicated to mental health, yet schedules wellbeing webinars after the majority of call taking staff are online so they cant attend. Majority of these glassdoor reviews are false. My line manager told my whole team to write them and took notes of who wrote what and if we didn't reply he would be taking action. Not as transparent as they say they are. On the bus - thrown under it sorings to mind

Pros
Kura are always looking to develop people and always look to recruit from within. They offer a Future Managers program to help people move into management roles they also offer a future trainers program to give employees the knowledge to train both their peers and new start employees. Their response to COVID-19 was also brilliant as they had people home working within a week of the government lockdown where possible and where not possible they retained all employees on 100% pay even one's who were not entitled to the governments job retention scheme.
Cons
At times it can be challenging but this is because the company is always pushing you to better yourself.

Working here has just been great . From the training sessions to the real time work scene. It’s been an absolute hoot. From the excellent training provided at the start and from time to time whilst on the job to the amazing floor support and team managers. Even in this grave time of Covid-19 . Kura has done everything possible to support their employees and has made working from home soo easy.
Cons
None I can think of really.
