    I have been working at L'Oréal full-time

    Pros

Strong Marketing Ecosystem Very Strong brands with global pedigree Smaller organisation and hence tighter knit Very strong focus on Ethics and Diversity Not very rigid so easier to implement ideas or take decisions Very good learning opportunity on top-of-pyramid channels like Modern Trade and Ecommerce

    Cons

Does not always reward merit or loyalty Weak Talent Management Or career progression processes Very very few opportunities to move to roles outside the country below Senior Leadership levels Not the best pay-master in the industry Not the best ecosystem to learn commercial processes as not a deep-distributed organization. No processes to ensure parity or balance between grades basis job profile or experience. Majorly manually driven and Subjective on this front.

I worked at L'Oréal full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You can find some of the most brilliant people here. You can learn so much from a bunch of extremely smart people

    Cons

Culture managed by fear. Threatening to fire people constantly...upper management is mostly made up of misogynist men with a few women on complete power trips. While i worked there, my husband was diagnosed with cancer and no one even ever bothered to ask how i was doing for an entire year. When I left, they tried to retain me with a counter offer. My answer was: I don’t know what life holds for me....all I know is that I do want kids, and that my parents will most likely pass in the next few years, things will happen....I dont know what, I only know one thing for sure, I don’t want to be here when it all happens. ✌🏻

    L'Oréal Response

Global content and employee engagement manager

Hi there, Thank you very much for sharing your experience and opinion. It's always valuable for us. Just like you mentioned, L'Oréal offers big opportunities to grow and learn, because we do not wait to give real responsibilities to our employees, whatever their position is. That's why we attract a lot of juniors. However, we're trying our best to improve the work-life balance of our employees and our managers play a key role in it! Some people are leaving, but we never mention the number of employees who are coming back after a few years also! Thank you for sharing this, we take your feedback into account and will communicate to upper management. We wish you the best for the future, don't hesitate to keep in touch with us! Have a lovely day, Madeline

I have been working at L'Oréal for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible timing to reach office and for lunch

    Cons

Turn over too fast, hard to convert from contract to full timer, Contract role will never get same treatment as full time. So many HR in office but still slow in getting basic access pass, had to ownself ask around.

    L'Oréal Response

Global content and employee engagement manager

Dear colleague, Thank you for your review, very positive indeed! We are happy you appreciate the acceleration plan and the benefits we are able to offer to our employees. But you are right, L'Oréal as an organization is constantly changing in order to adapt to the industry, the environment, etc. We call it sometimes 'organized chaos'. We hope you'll get the most out of it! We wish you continued success as you grow your career with us. Best, Madeline

    Pros

You will be given a full responsibility for the business, therefore you will learn alot.

    Cons

Due to the heavy workload, work & life balance is not so good. (But this depends on where and which function you are in)
