Leadership in engaged with the employees. They offer career training and work with the employees to be successful. The company is also growing their customer base with new contracts.
Cons

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at LCG full-time
Pros
Felt like: solid specialty in small contract bids and work. Great source of experience for new laborers in the IT field. A company that recognizes competent workers and in-turn will reward you with job security. - Friendly, hard-working, and responsive staff - Recognition and praise for a job well done - Recognition of skilled workers - First day, casual lunch with Project Manager/Supervisor - Hands-off management based on trust for the most part (a privilege you earn to keep) - Healthcare plans were a variety of Carefirst choices with 0 deductibles for most common/basic services. Copays for common services ranging from $15-$35 per visit. Average for max out-of-pocket costs.
Cons
Felt like: small-to-low-medium sized company with a budget that'll struggle to retain its best employees to competing companies after year one. - Salaries generally range from low-to-average in comparison to similar market salaries & experience in the area - Typical 3 weeks (15 days) of PTO accrual per year - Company parties were all small family-oriented activities, cheap get-aways - No bonuses, maybe giftcard reward, likely a nice thank you card and/or edible treat - Healthcare plan premiums were average-medium - Dental premium was average - Vision benefits and premium was average
Pros
Benefits are so so amazing
Cons
Hours are long and hard

Pros
It's a small company with a great culture of employees from an array of different backgrounds.
Cons
False promises regarding bonuses, rewards, etc; Compensation isn't the best but ultimately depends on experience.
Continue readingThank you for your comments. LCG is a very employee-centric organization and everyone is eligible for performance bonuses, of which the employee is really the driver. We pride ourselves on providing superior service to our clients and when the clients are happy and vocal with us as to one or more of our staff members who have done a great job, we reward those individuals through our performance bonus program. Great customer service earns great performance bonuses. Regarding compensation, this includes benefits, bonuses, training, and base pay. LCG reviews it's compensation package on an annual basis and we benchmark our approach against other Health IT federal contractors of our size in the DC Metro area. To date, we are excited to be able to have a very rich compensation package for all of our team members, including health benefits, base pay, training, bonuses and discounted programs that assist staff members with a variety of personal and professional needs. In 2016 alone, LCG awarded employees with more than $250,000 in performance bonuses, and this is routine for us. We believe that great employees who do great work deserve great rewards and that is why we invest so much in our team members.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at LCG full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Small company makes it easy to speak to higher ups, HR, etc. as needed. They acknowledge and reward hard workers, to a degree. Plenty of room for growth for those who take the time and effort to go above and beyond. There's a lot of really smart and motivated people within the company to learn from.
Cons
False promises around raises happened more than once. Because most employees work directly on contract sites, you may never see anyone from the company outside of your team, outside of town halls. If your client has a bad culture, you will experience that culture more than the LCG culture, simply due to proximity.

Thank you for sharing your insights with us. As an employee-centric organization, we appreciate and encourage employees, past, current and present, to share their experiences. Given that LCG is a government contractor, the majority of our employees work on the client sites. However, the HR team conducts routine visits to the client sites, as do the senior managers, so employees do not feel disconnected from corporate. As for the number of concurrent initiatives undertaken by the company, we are focused this year on enhancing our footprint in the health IT market where our strength and expertise lies. As always, LCG is committed to providing career opportunities, reward and appreciation incentives, and a robust training experience for all employees. To this end, we will continue to enhance the employment environment and opportunities for all of our dedicated team members.
