Pros

No pros come to mind.

Cons

LHH Penna advertise themselves as "the worlds leading talent development and transition company", which is ironic when they have no interest in nurturing talent - whether that be candidates, employees or associates. There is no focus on the value that should be given to the candidates, it's simply not at the heart of what drives them. Everything is urgent because they’re so dis-organised, therefore they rely on being too reactive which compromises on the quality of their already light services. There is no recruitment or retention of quality coaches, which means that no meaningful support is provided to genuinely help individuals going through such difficult changes. For these above reasons I immediately handed in my notice as an associate since the acquisition. To be quite frank, the LHH name is not one I wish to advertise within my portfolio career. Nothing but the memory of Penna remains, which is not only a real shame for all involved, but also extremely shortsighted.

Good decision not to showcase Nick Goldberg on the UK website…

Pros

The UK clearly recognizes the damage that Nick Goldberg did to the UK LHH Penna business, which is why they have cleverly decided not to advertise him on their website. Good choice considering his name holds no respect there.

Cons

However, the global business clearly haven’t learnt from past mistakes to reemploy him, as well as giving him a new toy to play with – WorkLifeLabs. LHH clearly don’t understand that it will be a matter of time before he ruins the Global brand alongside the outstanding devastation he caused in the UK.

Pros

There are people in the organisation who truly believe in the cause and who you feel safe to build relationships with as you will see they are genuine. They also work with some exciting companies which is a great opportunity to not only meet new people but also learn from their experiences which can be used to support other candidates as well.

Cons

Where do I begin. As a larger company, LHH is a great company. Its London base however, needs a good clear out. This company went from an exciting place to work to having us dread stepping inside the building. It went from caring about people to only looking at where to cut costs. It went from being truthful with their image to attempting to keep up appearances and failing monumentally. As an organisation that helps other organisations support their people, they need to start practicing what they preach. It is very apparent the strain everyone there feels due to the workload and the way relationships have deteriorated over the years. This company is simply too ironic. They go to large companies and say that they can help them train their executive teams to better manage challenges with employees, manage change and be better equipped to do their jobs. However, internally, this company is failing at those exact same things.
