I have been working at LSE full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great benefits and perks, although pension is declining, great immediate colleagues. If you have the right line manager good work life balance and flexible working.

    Cons

No respect for staff or their own employment policies, constant restructures and reorganisations that almost always result in loss of staff, problems with systemic bullying culture. Senior management are clueless in terms of strategy and staff consultations. Staff surveys regularly poor but management seem unable to effect change. Little opportunity for career progression. The school used to be a good employer but feels like it's lost its way in terms of staff relations.

I have been working at LSE full-time

    Pros

Great people. Fantastic brand and values. Good work-life balance.

    Cons

Departments work in silos, which is not helped by senior management. More focus on academic development than on professional services development.
