I have been working at LV= full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Have worked in 2 of the offices and visited a further2 more. The training is thorough, they have a real work-hard play-hard work ethic and the annual bonuses are usually generous. Everyone is friendly and always room for progression. Not to mention the charity & team days where there are regular bake-offs and free food...

    Cons

The workloads can get stressful at times with high call volumes and a lot of the time. A lot of the time is spent 'tied' to the phone.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I worked at LV= (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good training and environment to work. The staffs are very helpful.

    Cons

The pay is low and progression is slow. I think their low pay and lack of progression made them loose important colleagues to better paying insurance companies in Essex. As they don't feel the need to train you quick enough on other areas of the business. They tend to reply too much on 1 member of the team and their skill set. And when that person is on holiday or gets a better job that's she. They feel the need to start training you.

    Advice to Management

Have a better management program and quicker progression plan.

I have been working at LV= full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work with a passionate and great team of people who all strive for better. We work hard and laugh lots and have a genuine love for what we do!
Great corporate perks and recognition scheme. And lots of great charity work and our LV= Green Heart Foundation scheme is amazing by giving back to our customers

    Cons

Yes the workload can be stretching and feels never ending some months (but I find every business and job requires this at some points along your career journey).

    Advice to Management

Keep striving for better, keep listening to your experts and SME’s

    I have been working at LV= full-time

    Pros

Camaraderie with other CSRs - but it can be difficult to spend time with each other due to strict adherence policies

    Cons

Flexible working is offered but it does take a long time to go through the process
Lack of support with difficult customers
Very target driven even though they emphasise customer service - can be difficult to provide good service whilst under pressure to keep up other stats!

    I worked at LV= full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great culture, lovely people, nice offices, fab work/life balance. They value employees and listen to feedback, and are striving to improve. They try to keep people within the business, and so are active in helping career development (mostly).

    Cons

As with any big company, there can be lots of restructuring. And with restructuring comes people going into consultation and redundancies. It feels like at this point the 'lv=-liness' ends. Very little support or communication. HR don't seem to know how to handle the process sympathetically. I know this experience is not limited to just me - many people have had awful experiences like mine when it comes to this sort of issue. It's a shame as it ended my time there on a very very bad note.

    Advice to Management

Be supportive and realistic with staff when you restructure - and transparent. Its not nice, but it happens - it needs handling better
