As the CEO of a small business that relies entirely on its employees’ professionalism and abilities, I take every review to heart and try to learn from them. While I disagree with the sentiments expressed in the review (including demonstrably false facts), I certainly understand that it is still work, and not every review can be positive. In my effort to constantly improve LOD, I always welcome deserved criticism with constructive feedback, and encourage our current and former employees to leave positive and negative.
I make it a point to know all of our employees and contractors and I am relatively sure of the author of this post (LOD has low employee turnover). I am genuinely sorry that our employment relationship did not work out, but, as any reader can tell by looking at our other reviews, all of which are “5 star, recommend” reviews, the truth is that 3 of 5 are from LOD employees, and not from contractors as this post says.
We strive to ensure that all LOD staff have a positive experience. This includes providing a reasonable work/life balance. For the former employee I have in mind, we approved 29 unique flex and time off requests in our less than six-month relationship. We try to grant all reasonable leave requests, but I’m open to suggestions of other steps we could have taken. LOD takes pride in a great employee experience and, while I’m happy to own and learn from our mistakes, I wanted to make the record clear.
