Pros

Excellent CPD, good food which is reasonably priced, good facilities. Good systems in place to manage behaviour.

Cons

Have to log out of computer every time you switch room as you can’t just switch user, so you’ll lose any unsaved work. Not enough science classrooms so some teachers change rooms often and have no ownership of their own classroom. Behaviour is a challenge. Big emphasis on keeping up appearances, for example the “ quality” of work in students books. Students must have a contents page at the front which must be updated every lesson, a key word glossary at the back, a “purple zone” exam style question or extended writing piece in every lesson. Many boxes for teachers to tick.
