Looking through the positive reviews here, you'll notice most come from the sales team. Everyone has their own experience and I can only speak from a production perspective.
If you want to be constantly micro managed, have an insane workload (1 person doing the work of 3), be constantly berated that you are not hitting these unrealistic goals, deal with passive aggressive inter-department communications, and demands that you be on call and available at all hours, then Lemonlight is the place to be.
I have never seen a production company who cares so little about the well being of the production team. Production is totally overworked and underpaid, yet there are other departments who turn the office into a party every Friday around 3pm complete with loud music, video games and alcohol. Yet, we are expected to keep our heads down and make it work. Having events or company parties are all well and good, but not in the middle of a work day. And good luck going to a higher up with issues about this, they are often right in the middle of it.
There is an incredibly high turnover throughout the production team as everyone is struggling to keep up with the increasingly high demands and burn out is at an all time high. Retention has long been an issue here, with several team members quitting each month and replacements sometimes taking up to 2 months to be onboarded and brought up to speed, leaving everyone else to barely tread water in the meantime.
Unfortunately, there is no urgency on management's part to address any of the above; it is very much a "suck it up, this is how we do things" mentality.
