A big-data and AI company that led by a boomer

Pros

- People here are good - Remote working opportunity, only if the CEO is not here, else he'll ask you to go back office just because he wants to see your face - Opportunity to work with different nation people (Indonesian, Bangladeshi, Filipino, etc.), since the company itself is a MNC - Claimable lunch, parking fee - Free drinks, snacks - Near to KL Gateway Mall, various of food choices - Reachable by LRT

Cons

- CEO (not country head) is a boomer, old-fashioned thinking that stayed unchanged for decades, even though the company itself is about big-data/AI, how irony - BYOD (bring your own device), a MNC company that can't even provide a working device for their employees, LMAO - No legit office in Malaysia, you'll be working inside a apartment, ROFL, for those who don't know they might think is this company running some illegal businesses - You should never join this company unless you're desperate for a job - Non-Chinese can ignore their job posting, as far as i know there are only Chinese in Malaysia team - Be sure to be a extra-talkative and extra-responsive person if you ever want to join this company, especially towards the CEO, else he will ask you to get lost, even though you're just focusing on your work and didn't hear what he said - The CEO likes to give some BS speech that contribute nothing to the employees but only to drag down their productivity - Basically minimum to no benefits, only 14 days annual leave is mentionable, no transportation allowance, no internet allowance, no working device, no working device allowance

4 Year Old Start-Up with Poor Management

Pros

1. Remote working 2. Ability to manage your own task so long the founder don't interfere

Cons

1. 5.5 days work but management expect staff to respond via communication app even after office hours, sometimes late at night and even on Sundays. 2. Love to hold meetings and interviews after office hours, can be as late as 9 or even 10pm 3. The founder loves to poke in every single person's task and telling them what to do. During meetings, 99.99% will hear him talking n telling. 4. Claimed that they pay more to new employees but if u factor in working on Sats, no staff benefits except hospitalisation, 14 days annual leave, their offer is the same as what outside that offers (sometimes even lower). That is why they love to recruit fresh grads and most of the times, these fresh grads will either quit during probation or don't last more than a year. 5. Management is a 'yes man' instead of discussing. They'll follow what the founder will ask/ tell them what to do. They rather give in instead of proving/explaining their points as the founder is not really the listener type. Therefore, if anyone has some ideas which is not align or accepted by the founder, basically the ideas will be shelved. 6. When there are meetings involved with the founder, it has to be in big groups. The founder will call everyone in and forced everyone to switch on their cameras as he likes the attention and everyone looking at him despite not involving in the meeting or matters being arise. Therefore, wasting the staff's time and productivity.

Pros

It is near to LRT station.

Cons

Meetings are often held at night, with no content, and the boss speaks alone without any key points. No work-life balance. The boss is difficult to deal with, has a bad attitude, and often targets individuals. No empathy for subordinates; you're expected to do whatever the boss wants immediately. There is no internal planning in the company; one person is required to take on several different roles. You are asked to do whatever is needed, regardless of your position. No bonus.
