I worked at London Borough of Hackney full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I have spent 3 years at Hackney Council working in different departments. There are some excellent people and, for being a public authority, there is a push to modernize things. I was also supported into part-time study funded by them, which I will always be grateful. Loads of young people with great motivation to make a difference in the borough.

    Cons

Senior Management not really listening to some staff issues, 'politics' getting in the way of decision-making process. Some employees who are extremely lazy and are just nesting there waiting to cash in their pensions.
