RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI have been working at Lucasfilm full-time for more than a year
Pros
The culture of Lucasfilm is like no other studio I've worked at yet. Even though the studio was purchased by Disney, it still feels like they attempt to hold onto things that made the culture great in the days of George. Though the Disney culture can be seen slowly taking over, things like the annual 4th of July picnic, trivia night, and other things harken back to the feel of before. The employees who are in the trenches, doing the work, are some of the most passionate and talented people I've worked with.
Cons
In the process of becoming a true movie studio again, there are some growing pains in regards to upper management. It can feel like there is a disconnect between middle management and the executives, especially with some of them living outside of San Francisco and spending so little time on site. It seems like the Disney way is taking hold in that executives are being promoted and taking on more responsibility, creating larger and larger voids that are not being filled. Extra responsibility is being offloaded onto middle management and below, without properly recognizing their struggles and successes.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI worked at Lucasfilm full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Incredibly talented colleagues, very humble yet skilled and hard working. Fantastic IPs to work with, good facilities and equipment, good support from IT. Very good work-life balance, never did any crunch. Extremely enjoyable working atmosphere with almost no conflicts
Cons
Incredibly opaque upper management, most important decisions were taken by people who didn't understand or care about games. Finished projects didn't ship.

Pros
The people are friendly, the surroundings were comfortable, the amenities are first class, compensation was fair, as were the benefits. Outstanding Christmas gifts!
Cons
Upper management was a bit distant, and not communicable. Unfocused direction in certain departments. Recognition and promotion were rather difficult to achieve. Inflexibility with exploring new avenues of revenue and company growth.

Pros
Talented people, good environment. High quality games being produced, team environment was conducive for learning and working hard.
Cons
Upper management hinders the leadership, prevents the company from making good games. Lack of transparency, slow and clumsy decision-making led to cancelled projects that would put the company back on the map.

the upper management needs to have a clear direction and vision. works more like a supporting media company instead of an all-out games company.

Pros
The company is working on ambitious projects that are likely to transform the industry. Amazing learning environment. Great technology and talent resource.
