"Lynntech is where careers go to die."
Pros
If you can work here you can work anywhere, and for a lot more money with a lot less gruff.
Cons
You will be constantly nit-picked by inept middle-management types. Supervisors will foist their reports and budgets on you and literally stand over your shoulder while you work. Upper Management knows nothing about science or research and is only interested in bilking employees for as many hours in-office as they can. You will work more hours than is reasonable and will not be compensated for it. Management cannot budget itself, so you will be expected to pick up their slack by paying drastic overhead costs leaving little-to-nothing to purchase necessary supplies, chemicals, and testing procedures or to pay your employees. There is a pronounced preference for yes-men and stiff necks (military types), so much so that hiring at the mid-level and above are not based upon competency or merit and you will be expected to do those jobs in addition to your own while ceding credit. You will be micro-managed in everything and given nothing. Management actually has bullies who make fun of employees. Basic family obligations are frowned upon and you will be demeaned by management for not putting the company above all else. Salary and benefits are drastically below what is comparable for work performed, even in the "small town" of CSTX.
