      Pros

Agile / flexible working (depending on manager)

      Cons

The department had grown too quick to maintain its culture Some senior category managers that are great at procurement but have zero skill set / compassion / emotional intelligence in managing people. Highly competitive and segregated in some areas, mostly encouraged by senior category manager

Not as good as it used to be. Future looks bleak.

      Pros

Immediate team members make work enjoyable and rewarding. Building is modern and flexible working options are great.

      Cons

Lots of ongoing change following demerger with no vision. Board are invisible, not approachable and have little concept of people values. M&G employees who made the company great are being pushed out. Salary and bonus is poor relative to industry.

      Pros

Great investment in technology and digital transformation New Building Introduction to flexible working

      Cons

Too many layers of management - only a handful have the management/ leadership skills required to do the job Toxic working environment in certain areas of the business - daily bullying and harassment are a norm HR are unreliable, will not help employees and will always protect management A lot of internal mobility which unfortunately results in a lot of incompetent people being placed at unsuitable for them positions The internal application/interview process is not consistent for all employees The company used to attract much better caliber of candidates Lack of management support for Learning and Development (apart from the CFA) Employees career interests and aspirations are not taken into account and management are only concerned with what suits the business Employees are expected to take orders from management despite being encouraged to express their opinions Frequent instances of micromanagement Educated, experienced and competent people are often overworked to compensate for the below average hires The company has good values on paper but they are just facade to cover up what is really going on behind the scenes
