Pros

Many of the colleagues I worked alongside were energetic, helpful, and positive. That's it, though. That covers all the positives.

Cons

Long working hours. As in, criminally long working hours. Typical day was around 10-11 hours. Spent 63 hours in just one week. Being salary, there is no added benefit for contributing more of your time. However, you will be looked down on for not putting in more than what is required, or asked. Work-life balance was pretty much non-existent. Two-faced management who focused on propping up their "favorites", reluctant to give credit where it is due. Only when pressed and cut-off by another consultant on the project was the manager forced to offer up proper recognition. Unrealistic expectations to hit deadlines, mismanagement of (human) resources; this goes back to the "favorites" thing. Sudden and horribly explained reason for termination. Failed to demonstrate any of the accusations levied. Later to discover it was for them to avoid paying out severance, not providing a valid reason for termination. Eventual layoffs everywhere, migrating many roles overseas for cheaper salaries. I did find out from former colleagues that there is risk of no follow-through on bonuses that were promised. Additionally, lower management was informed to layoff individuals, to find "performance reasons". Again, to avoid any severance pay.

Pros

None -there is none - glassdoor should not make me write one

Cons

I wanted to write my review after having a few days to process what just happened. I thought this was a dream job – It was, unfortunately it ended up being a nightmare. They just laid off the entire HR Department with the exception of two people – how do you run a company without an HR department. I am in the Delivery team and all of us are scrambling looking for jobs. The sad part is that the companies who depend on us to deliver are not going to get their product as most are leaving. We were told that not to expect bi-weekly checks as they company is taking loans to pay us – with the higher interest rates it was told we may receive lower checks until they can make payment. All the positive reviews you are seeing are false – we were personally told by Das [CEO} that he wants to see positive reviews on Glass Door and that we had till Friday to send him a copy of it. Please don’t believe the positive ones – they are only being done by colleagues who are afraid of telling the truth. WOW!

Horrible company filled with lies

Pros

Only pro is being employed. Pay is okay, a little less than the normal rate for US consultants. Be prepared to work 60+ hours per week, weekends, and holiday.

Cons

Caution: The negative reviews are ALL TRUE here!!!! I'm only writing this because an internal employee informed me that the CEO is asking people to off-set these negative reviews by writing good reviews. I believe this because I was asked to put MTX Group in a positive light by posting good reviews and posts on LinkedIn when I was employed there. I should've quit sooner than I did once the Chief Financial Officer (the owners brother) called me to cuss me out when I filled out the expense form out incorrectly during my first month of being employed. This place has a cult-like atmosphere where the CEO preaches "people-first" and "culture" but it's far from true. In my time (and after), many former employees shared they were mentally defeated, having to get on medication for stress and suicidal tendencies, allowing their personal health to suffer. Additionally, the running theme is that they have become estranged in their own homes as they have no time for family - another lie you will hear directly from leadership about having work-life balance to enjoy your families. To give you an idea of a typical day-to-day, the CEO was preaching his "wellness" spill, giving the company a Friday off. As he was talking, leadership messaged me in the background telling me I was working that weekend and could not have it off. I averaged 1 day off per month. 60-70 work weeks in order to meet the expected billable hours of 40 hours. Prior to quitting, I was working every day, including all holidays, and was receiving messages and incoming calls all hours of the night - only to be put down for not answering a 1am call for an ad hoc task. My days started the moment I woke up, usually 4am, and working til as late as 7 or 8pm. The company culture and leadership has been the worst I've ever experienced. In fact, it's worse than I've heard about from other companies. There are hundreds of ex-employees who were laid-off right before the annual bonus came out in February, which was intentional by the company. The negative reviews on here are real and the positive ones come from those forced by leadership. I can write for days about how horrible this company is but they do not deserve any more of my time. I'm only here to save someone from accepting a position at this company. Do yourself and family a favor and stay far away from this company as possible. If you're a former employee who has had negative experiences, please share your feedback and help others from making a horrible mistake by taking a job here.
