I have been working at Magellan Health full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Decent pay. Much autonomy given to provide for needs of clients and client organizations. Diverse responsibilities wit room to learn and grow.

    Cons

No raises in three years, Much negativity by staff. For a health oriented company the health insurance options are awful.

I worked at Magellan Health full-time

    Pros

Compensation seems relatively fair; received a modest raise each year I worked there. Benefits are pretty much standard, yet competitive. Team members I worked with were awesome; always ready to help and collaborate; this was supported and encouraged by the team management personnel, who were also responsive to questions, needs, issues, etc. most of the time.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations at times. Performance reviews and evaluations were rote, rarely helpful or ongoing (I'm the type of person that appreciates the feedback that reviews/evaluations can provide, when done well).

I worked at Magellan Health for more than 5 years

    Pros

Benefits. Nice colleagues. Some flexibility in work schedule.

    Cons

It's all a numbers game. There is too much rhetoric. Demanding. Management is afraid to speak up to the customer, so they agree to ridiculous promises. Constant fear and threat of losing the contract. Minimal increases if any in salary. Outdated computer systems/programs.

I worked at Magellan Health full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The company has multiple divisions and the experience I had in my division was quite positive.

    Cons

Magellan's silos are on different planets and one has no concept what is really going on in the other silo.Overall, the benefits were okay but not the best.
