I worked at Manpower for less than a year

    Pros

Coworkers are helpful but it depends on a mood and what's happening in the office that day. Sometimes it' better not to open your mouth without being scolded.

    Cons

Management completely ignores you. When you're asking to do something more/different they tend to just walk away saying that they don't have time to train you.

    Advice to Management

Change the way you behave. The fact that you earn sometimes 2 or 3 times more than someone on a contract doesn't make you better.

I have been working at Manpower for less than a year

      Pros

Nothing - awful recruitment agency, myself and several others I know have had many, many problems and have been told incorrect information.

      Cons

Incredibly bad. Manpower contacted references I told them SPECIFICALLY NOT TO - and have caused me a lot of problems. As I told Manpower to not contact that reference, I did not inform that referee that they would be contacted, and so they were not at all happy about being contacted without prior knowledge, and this has caused me A LOT of unwanted grief. On top of this, I already have the job and would assume a recruitment...

      Advice to Management

      1. Contact references BEFORE hiring people! 2. DO NOT CONTACT REFERENCES YOU ARE SPECIFICALLY TOLD NOT TO CONTACT - THIS SAVES PEOPLE A LOT OF PROBLEMS AND AGGRAVATION WHEN PEOPLE ARE RANDOMLY CONTACTED OUT OF THE BLUE WITHOUT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE!

      Pros

Manpower makes sure once your assignment ends they place you somewhere else so you’re not unemployed!!

      Cons

The only thing is it’s a contract company, therefore, you may or may not become permanent in certain positions.
