I worked at Marks & Spencer as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good experience
    well paid Job
    Friendly environment
    staff discounts
    flexibility

    Cons

During my experience, I could not think of a single negative aspect in working in M&S!

    Advice to Management

A group of co-workers complained about the given break times. Arguably if the times were extended it will be more convenient to them.

I have been working at Marks & Spencer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

(In my store, Westfield White City) there are opportunities to grow in the business and managers will push you towards that if you show the correct attitude and want to grow. Throughout the years of people coming and going you find you make great relationships with your colleagues.

    Cons

Like every job some managers can be difficult. Organisation can be lacking. Communication isn't always great between departments and between managers > section co to customer assistants. Maybe this is due to my store being very large and model store.

    Advice to Management

I don't have much advice to management as it depends on the individual but despite sometimes my negative attitude at work I have to say the managers have been very supportive of me and very patient and motivating.

    Pros

Worked alongside great colleagues and managers who made you feel accommodated well. Good shifts patterns as well.

Had to pay to park my car in town. Constant changing of managers towards the end of my time working there.

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at Marks & Spencer as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly Staff and clients,20 percent discount.

    Cons

Breaks can be tight compared to other places and sometimes profit is put first over

    Advice to Management

Staff are just as important as the customers if it werent for us then the company probably wouldnt be where it is today.
