    I worked at Marks & Spencer part-time

    Pros

20% if staff discount card which took almost 5 months for me to receive, by then, I already hated the place.

    Cons

On the recruitment site, it says pay is £8.50 whereas during the interview it says it is £8 which is deceitful
“Temporary” 3 month employment is not temporary, rather they assume if you pass your 3 month probabtion period, you would want to stay on and then get upset if you actually want to leave!
Breaks are extremely brief for long shifts but management and the elderly staff can take us long as they like which is not fair.
Management are lazy and expect you to do overtime even if you physically cannot make it.
Very passive aggressive environment, especially if you cannot do overtime all the time

    Advice to Management

Conduct constant review of your managers as they seldom complete any of their jobs. Train staff properly before asking them to complete specific tasks.
