Current Employee - Associate/Consultant in Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

    Pros

Organisation is more in audit line i.e statutory audit. Though growing in other area and would be good in near future

    Cons

If someone is coming from big4 then it would be difficult for him to accomodate as organisation is still running as ca firm

    Advice to Management

Try adhere to style and policies followed by international firm.
Give employees facilities as given in other such international firm and make good employees at senior position, as some of the senior managers does not know how to behave and has no ethical and professional way of working

It's an indipendent finacial advisory firm with office in florence and milan and some great deals in the last two years.

I have been working at Mazars full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Diversity,
    Strong values,
Offers to client a broad range of services, so you have a complete range of technical skill and general knowledge

    Cons

You totally depend on the the country manager,
    Work life balance
Mazars is an international, integrated and independant organization but it seems impossible to moove from one country to another

    Advice to Management

It is a group who doesn't act like one

  11. "Very difficult environment for foreigners, because internal culture is totally laking the concept of diversity!"

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

I worked at Mazars full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Young team
Possibility to work cross industries and cross subdivisions
They are paying for your further professional development (ACCA, ADIT etc)
    Quick promotion times

    Cons

Generally personal affinity or antipathy plays a huge role in their decision making process - favorizing and promoting those they personally like irrespective of their professional qualities, and totally being against the development and promotion of those they personally don't like for any kind of small insignificant reasons.
Therefore any kind of initiative is not welcomed unless the decision maker personally likes you.

Totally weak management, lacking vertebra, due to self invented complexes of being part of a culture that is considered by some as not being good enough..

A corporate culture that lacks the concept of diversity, not accepting anything that's different from what they know, even if being aware of the fact that sometimes what's different is actually better.

    Advice to Management

Stopping asap the system of favoritism according to personal likes and dislikes.
Learning the skills of proper people management and conflict management - because it's unacceptable to allow employees to deal with that by themselves, chaos is quickly installed and in most cases the good ones leave the environment cos they know they deserve better, while the weakes of employees remain..
Give up on strong monarchist hierarchy system (master and slave type)
Allow initiative at least the verbal one - you never know what good idea could come in a brainstorming from the youngest of the team.

    Pros

    - learn many things in a very short time.
    - you don't become overspecialised from the begining of your career, as you are in a big 4

    Cons

    - the mentality is tipycall to a small company
    - you are promoted only if you have a certain years of experience, not based on how good you are
    - bad communication
    - lack of transaprency

    Advice to Management

    - improve the appraisal process, the comunication, etc
