    Cons

Partners more concerned with their own areas

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Mazars full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good people, interesting clients, focus on quality output, fun environment, part of an international firm with a big reputation (although not in the UK).

    Cons

Long hours with lots of times working away from home, limited promotion prospects, tatty offices, salaries and perks not as good as big 4.

    Advice to Management

Get more staff so that existing staff are not to stretched and advertise the firm in the UK - No one knows who Mazars are!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Mazars full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some nice colleagues with a good convenient location to work in Dublin City centre.
    Easy relaxed work environment.
Not much pressure to complete tasks.

    Cons

Not much pressure to complete tasks so lack of direction.
Management not very hands on. Its all about winning a piece of work rather than delivering it to a high standard.
A lot of staff not very busy due to lack of workload.

    Advice to Management

Show more leadership and give clear solid deliverables to junior staff. Set clear goals for teams. Help mentor junior staff and reward employees. Seek feedback form employees to help any future staff.

I have been working at Mazars full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Mazars is run like a big extended family where everybody knows your name and surname. You are seen like a valuable resource and not just like a number. Moreover the management trusts in you and they make you feel responsible in your daily tasks. You well be in contact with a lot of high technical professionals in various sectors such as insurance and banking. Another advantage of working for Mazars is that you will be exposed to a wider spectrum of duties compared to other bigger accounting and audit firms.

    Cons

Competition in this sector is tough and it is difficult sometimes to win jobs over bigger companies. Also young students might be attracted by the opportunities offered by other accounting and audit networks, such as secondments in other offices. Career opportunities might be limited as well.

    Advice to Management

Try not to imitate your competitors and keep your style as genuine as possible. You are doing a great job so far!
