I have been working at McKinsey & Company full-time

    Pros

Superb training; amazing support staff - never worry about making the photocopier work again; the brand opens doors; the chance to build a craft where you can have your own style; probably the best colleagues in a large company in the world

    Cons

The hours are barely doable, but not vindictive. nonetheless, it is a boa constrictor of your outside interests

    Advice to Management

Tackle the institution's arrogance - not the people - but the organisation's sense it has little to learn from those outside it; hire people whose parents were poor

I have been working at McKinsey & Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    + Very smart people
    + Very varied work
+ Great first job - it will teach you to do fast, efficient, high quality work and to think about issues strategically
    + Opens amazing career opportunities

    Cons

+ Very long hours and all too frequent travel - very difficult to reconcile with family life
+ Many people have an 'insecure overachiever' personality and don't dare taking risks / standing up to the client when needed
+ The most inspiring and interesting people often leave after a few years

I have been working at McKinsey & Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing brand value, strong alumni network, Skills development (early tenure), higher than average pay and benefits, expense policy

    Cons

Hierarchy, absolutely no life (always work), intense pressure, too much BS everywhere, arrogant colleagues

    Advice to Management

Please talk less about how you want to change things and actually do it! Also, you advice companies on how to go digital where you still use technology from the 90s

    I worked at McKinsey & Company full-time

    Pros

    - Great growth and 360-degree development as a leader
    - exposure to different industries and topics
    - free MBA and/or office transfer

    Cons

    - lifestyle... 8/9pm is a dream
    - is a great first job because it teaches you basic business skills, but does not prepare you to own P&L - need to go to something else to gain those skills
    - staffing can be a difficult game to plan - need to be a high performer or have good connections to get onto projects you're interested in
