Pros

The team is incredible. Some of the most dedicated and hardest working people I've ever met. It's a huge shame how management treats them.

Cons

-5 days of PTO. read that again. 5. DAYS. OF PTO. -Evil bosses who are proudly and loudly in their villain arc -You will be expected to perform job duties that fall WELL outside of your job description and experience, but not for the sake of learning. -In fact, the boss likes to gatekeep his wealth of knowledge and thinks you should already know everything you don't know and blames you for not knowing. -As a result, you learn a lot on the fly, which isn't inherently bad, but each mistake costs you respect and rapport from the boss. Mistakes should be turned into learning opportunities, but instead, you'll spend hours trying to avoid making the boss mad over miniscule things. -They expect you to either skip breaks or work late, period. -They will ask you to take on extra work CONSTANTLY but refuse to give out raises, even promised ones, even COLA raises. It really feels like they hate their employees. -They present themselves as super legit but everything is on the brink of collapse all the time. They try to compensate for this by asking people to take on multiple, unrelated roles, such as SEO specialists becoming Account Managers responsible for project management and client communications on top of all SEO duties. They would rather ask you to do the jobs of 2-4 people (with barely the salary of 1 person) than hire qualified people for various roles. -EXTREMELY understaffed with zero intention of expanding the team to make their employees' lives bearable. Again, they'd rather combine multiple roles to save money. In fact, people get laid off literally all the time. -Both bosses have said extremely heinous, problematic, nasty, toxic things directly to employees. -Company culture is extremely toxic. Don't be fooled.

Difficult environment

Pros

- Knowledgeable team of experts - Producing high quality of work - Good learning experience and exposure to a large variety of projects I thoroughly enjoyed the people who worked at this company. However, it is an incredible loss to have hard working, dedicated, and skilled individuals who are not supported or respected by management. Everyone was treated as replaceable, and management does not listen to employee feedback which is to their own detriment.

Cons

- You will be constantly set up to fail in this environment. This takes a huge toll on mental health and self-confidence. - Incredibly demanding environment - Unsupportive leadership that does not foster a learning environment, and is unresponsive most of the time. - Mistakes are met with a slap on the wrist rather than treated as learning opportunities. - Very poor work-life balance. When approaching management with workload concerns, the response was dismissive and usually involved questioning. - Asking for raises, even when they were agreed upon ahead of time, was a similarly unpleasant process of feeling dismissed. During a meeting to discuss raise, I was told that my salary research was wrong and rudely asked for sources. - If you would like to work on mental toughness then this is the place for you. You will need to get use to dealing with triggers on a daily basis. - Overwhelming levels of growth, with new clients being onboarded constantly and not hiring staff appropriately to keep up with those demands. -Employees are overworked and struggle to produce high quality of work which reflects on the high turn over rates of clients when the work environment is one of misery and stress. -Lack of standard procedures, expectations and ethics. - 5 days of PTO per year, with extremely long hours during the week. People often work into the weekends and until 7/8pm at night. - Unsupportive company culture, borderline toxic work environment, with many management decisions reflecting how the company is failing to staff according to workload needs, and ultimately retain good clients that are satisfied. - TL;DR, Avoid. Employees are overworked/treated as dispensable and unable to produce quality work. Clients are seldom happy, and it's not fun for them to work with an overworked miserable team. Management makes decisions that are to their own detriment and throw employees under the bus in the process.

Worst company to work for

Pros

You can work from home sometimes.

Cons

Where to begin?! Overall, I would describe this agency as a real mess. They possess all the cons of a start-up, with quite literally zero of the perks. I would most kindly describe the company as a joke. While my time at this company left me with quite a few thoughts, the most important cons to highlight for potential candidates on Glassdoor would be surrounding leadership and internal operations. Leadership: -> While there are two present ‘leaders’ within the organization, I would hardly define them as leaders. They are often arguing with one another on calls in front of staff, talking sh*t about one another on calls when the other is not on it, talking poorly about employees, and completely mis-aligned on all things corporate strategy, client approach, and internal operations. -> I understand that not all agencies require a “corporate environment” but the leaders at this company lack any professionalism whatsoever. They do not treat their employees with respect nor kindness — a sentiment that I’m confident every current or past employee would endorse in some capacity. Internal ops: -> 5 days of PTO per year. -> per the handbook, you must answer slack messages within 1-2 minutes. This message is reinforced with the asterisk next to it “this is extremely important.”
