There is a genuine care to help you progress in your career within Meraki or Cisco. • Great office, fun and friendly- Social atmosphere with an in office games room and regular events • Work with very talented people- Learn a lot and a strong culture of idea sharing and celebrating each other’s success within UK teams • Brilliant company perks and benefits- Health insurance for yourself and family, dental insurance, free breakfast and lunch with tons of snacks and drinks in the office, volunteer days etc. • COVID Work from home transition very well handled- regular check in’s from broader Cisco, Meraki wide, team based and individually with managers. Great Meraki wide remote activities put on for all employees including Gingerbread House building, pizza making, Christmas Wreath making and regular food and drinks treats sent to home addresses. • Travel (when permitted)- Two week trip to San Francisco for new hire onboarding is amazing and EoY trip to Vegas. • Sales target are challenging but achievable

I have been working at Meraki full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - great technology - great benefits - love the offices (when we eventually get to be back in them...) - everyone is really nice and friendly - my personal experience has been that Meraki genuinely cares about its employees as people, their health and well being etc - there's a lot of really good EROs that do some amazing work - the culture and the environment is fantastic - really good work/life balance

    Cons

    - career ladders could be better - it's not always clear what the next step is or how to get there - salary reviews are an issue. this comes down to Cisco needing to invest more - they shouldn't keep describing Meraki as Ciscos "crown jewels" and saying how amazing we're doing and then not reward us for that.

I worked at Meraki full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    * Great product/technology * Fantastic support and flexibility during Covid-19 * Big growth and good results for all teams * Good culture

    Cons

    * Cisco influence is clear and is starting to feel more corporate and political * resistence to work from home after Covid-19 * little career opportunities * little pay reviews * Uneven manager quality. I had a fantastic manager but it’s a shame that other teams don’t have that experience

I worked at Meraki full-time for more than a year

    Pros

= Some excellent people = Nice office = Good technology

    Cons

= blame cultures = No career progression offered = No pay reviews ever = Uncompetitive pay = Middle management issues disregarded and overlooked = They request us to do feedback then make us feel uncomfortable by pushing to find out who is telling what = People speaking bad of each other all the time = Many stories talked about manager who says how staff are there to pay their mortgage = UK partners seem to always know the latest story on bad comments made by managers and gossip = Salary information shared

I have been working at Meraki full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some good people Nice office Good product

    Cons

The company is having the same issues repeatedly and they are just not listening. The culture is toxic as employees continue to discuss the inexcusable behaviour from some management. Employee satisfaction is at an all time low resulting in an increasing number of people leaving. Promotions have been halted and pay has become very uncompetitive. Anonymous feedback has been shared about UK managers but the severity continues to be played down. Inconsistent connected rec is handed out and so there is always deserved appreciation missed. Managers should be using a budget every quarter to encourage consistent review of efforts. My work from home equipment expenses were rejected unfairly. Global reps have knowingly taken revenue belonging to Germany and the UK but allowed by Sales ops. Fading sales atmosphere and increasing partner efforts pushed onto sales. Director favouring manager over employees in situations raised and benefits being selectively offered. No pay reviews at all only for changing role.

I worked at Meraki full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great office Great events from time to time Some really great people that make a huge difference Some great leaders who really care

    Cons

Lots of revenue stealing by same people but no action taken. Technical training done poorly. No career progression or pay rises since over a year due to Covid even if deserved or due. Unequal patches so impossible to measure rep success. Countless manager issues raised with Director but nothing being listened to or worked on. Happiness dependent on manager so difficult to love the job. Managers discussing team confidential info even though asked not to so many times. Micro management that makes work not enjoyable. Club incentive given to people unfairly and promotions based on inaccurate success. Reps unbooking and rebooking deals and getting recognition each time. No action taken on those who steal deals so people will continue to do it. Losing good people because no one is listening to the problems. Popular people rewarded. Targets are increasing but rewards and career progression is at a halt. Hard to justify staying

I have been working at Meraki full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Learn alot and gather alot of skills - Cisco exams are all paid for - Good overall culture - Great benefits

    Cons

    - Management do not change the environment at all as all the managers who currently work at Cisco Meraki were promoted from being Network Engineers so there is a lack of experience however when employees ask to change things nothing ever is changed and the same old ways of working are kept - Not much progression after working as a NSE in the London office as the teams are further technical more escalated roles or customer service experience positions
