Pros

There were two or three people there that I truly enjoyed and appreciated for doing a great job, being supportive/insightful, and being all around wholesome individuals.

Cons

I don't know where to start.... -You don't know what days you have off until sunday night each week (never have weekends off, just two random weekdays) which makes it impossible to make plans -They lure you in with promises of becoming a "marketing manager" when it is really more of a puppy mill for sales representatives that do nothing but sit in a Sam's Club or Walmart all day -The management often loses sight of what constitutes "constructive criticism" and resorts to simple insults and criticisms to try and "inspire" you. -They bait and switch the amount of money you will be getting paid. While I was told during interviews that I would be making around 55k doing a normal job and up to 75k doing well, in reality I was doing great but making only about 30k and none of my coworkers were surpassing much above 40-45k -The entire company feels deceitful, even when I was looking at their website I never was able to figure out exactly what it was that they did (because they hide it and situationally trap you once you've assimilated into the company). Seriously, look up their website... they advertise customer retention, marketing consulting, and brand management as three of their major services but all anybody in the company does is sit in a Sam's Club for 10 hours pitching people about DirecTV. Complete smoke and mirrors. -Because your always in a Sam's club all day and only spend about an hour in the office each morning, there is little to no sense of community at the job. On top of that, since your at Sam's Club everyday, which is usually located in a zoning area populated with large retailers or fast food, your main option for lunch each day is Sam's Club pizza.

Thank you for the insight and we definitely apologize that you weren't able to make the income that you desired! The starting salary is dependent on an individual's background and skill set. We pride ourselves on having a team environment and we aspire to be involved personally with each of our employees. We feel part of the reason for our massive growth at Metroplex Management Group is due to our Company Culture and Team Environment. We look for individuals we can cross-train into Management (The salary in that position is minimum 75k) and apologize that you did not have a full understanding of what our intentions are. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you might have and we will do our best to make it right! respectfully, MMG management staff

Pros

Great business and sales education for high school grads and the less educated. Good way to make 500.00 a week working 60-80 hours. Atmosphere is amazing, lots of motivated and ambitious young professionals.

Cons

Those same motivated young professionals have to pay for their own gas to and from events. You sometimes travel so far, you net 50.00 for the day in profit after having been there from 7am-7pm. They attempt to tell you you can be an owner, but 1 out of 300 maybe make it to management, and then once there, maybe 1 out of 50 are open more than a year. They say you can make all this money, but when you go to leaders conferences, you never meet anyone who says, 'You should do this, I made so much money, I was able to retire early and convince YOU, to do it". It wouldnt have mattered if I opened up 10 offices, you have to keep working, and never realize any passive income. You work like a slave for these folks, and then all managers/owners leave with nothing..OH and no reviews of anyone working there more than a year....weird...

We appreciate the time that you took to leave us your review and would like to address some of the concerns that you have presented. All of our positions are entry level, we aren't necessarily the "right fit" for more experienced individuals and recent graduates do tend to excel rapidly within our company. Our meetings are definitely a favorite part of my day as well, they ALWAYS get everyone motivated to be the best they can be! While you did apply for a sales position within our company, not all of our positions are involved in sales. ALL of our positions are paid hourly/salary and never depend on solely on the production on that individual if they do participate in a sales position. Management opportunities are available to select individuals who prove that they can manage themselves as well as others. Metroplex Management Group has been established since 2009 and we do have 6 other very successful offices in Texas. Please let us know if you have any other questions for us! We wish you the very best!

Pros

Sales -- If you are able to sell cable television packages to strangers, this is the job for you.

Cons

Inconsistent work weeks. Often you won't know what days you will have off until Sunday. There are no weekends off. With office meetings set behind full work days, you're likely to have 10-12 hour work days. The base pay is only available to those who make specific number of sales for the week. If you're expected to make 4 sales that week and you only make 3, then the following week you won't get paid unless you hit that magic number. It's a great way for the business to save some money when sales are low, but you will feel it before management.

Thank you for your input. I just want to make sure everyone here understands the schedule and pay better. You response is very confusing to us seeing how we go over pay and scheduling at least 3 times before we decide to hire someone with our company. We do have a very flexible schedule as we do full time, part time, and internships and we do not and never will have our salary based on commission. Also - even our trainers work a 40 hour work week at the most so not sure if you are getting us confused with a different company? We also do not just "sell cable", We have many campaigns and training programs within our company. Again we thank you for your feedback as we always welcome a learning opportunity.
