I worked at Michelin North America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay structure was excellent and exceeded my previous employment environments. Corporate culture was inviting and provided for ample advancement opportunities. Would highly recommend Michelin as an employer. I left to pursue work in another field or would still be with Michelin.

    Cons

I have worked for three separate corporations and found Michelin to "outshine" the other two by a wide margin

    Advice to Management

Keep up the excellent work and never forget that people are the company!

Great career progression if you in South Carolina
Many great people work in the company

    Cons

Louisville plant is dying on the vine, lack of competitiveness in a global economy has doomed the facility
Plant Management has no clue how to turn the ship around, just passes blame and points fingers
Lack of accountability and self awareness of management has driven many good employees away

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees and be open to some constructive criticism.
Hold people accountable for the jobs are supposed to do.

I worked at Michelin North America full-time

    Pros

Training - Definitely the most comprehensive training.
Job Security - If you put the time in you will always have a job.

    Cons

Pay - Not as competitive as other companies. Must be willing to move quite often in order to increase salary.
Systems - Systems are slow to upgrade and HQ responsiveness is lacking due to overall size.

    Advice to Management

Be more consistent in your message to the field. Seems to change way to often and without much feedback from the field.
