Former Employee - Customer Account Manager

    I worked at Mimeo.com full-time

    Pros

Really friendly work environment, pleasant workplace.

    Cons

Workload can be full on and stressful in peak season. However, it is manageable and satisfying come the end of the busy period.

"Lacklustre Atmosphere Owing To Archaic Attitudes"

Former Employee - Marketing Communications in Huntingdon and Peterborough, England

I worked at Mimeo.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the best camaraderie I've experienced in the workplace, the hiring managers have a real knack for finding people that work well together.

    Cons

Upper management (the ones you don't see) seem to have a very old-style way of thinking about new initiatives which can leave younger employees with fresh ideas feeling very alienated.

    I have been working at Mimeo.com full-time

    Pros

Fast pace, innovative company. Can be cut throat but in a positive way, they don't mess about if something is not working they deal with it, learn from it and move on - very big on personal development and training which is really refreshing

    Cons

Communication could be better and getting down to all members of staff, just because the board know what the core values are etc, if it is not communicated properly to the staff you cannot expect them to know them. Needs to work harder on getting the communication going

I worked at Mimeo.com full-time for less than a year

    Pros

trip to New York on the company... I had to ask to be trained as no one was willing to demonstrate the role.

    Cons

hard work doesn't pay off. favoured members of the sales team who make no calls receive bonuses from accounts never earned by them. I can't tell you how many people have been fired on the spot with no justification or warning. Simply not meeting a target (a target based on others sales and so impossible to predict) slimey management treat meetings like an episode of the apprentice and don't care about your development. i was told i was not suitable after 9 months of being told how well i was doing. developed shingles (probably from the stress) and so was off for three weeks, fired on the phone! no warning, told i wasn't suitable. bullied, sexually harassed shouted and sworn at. people fired at random with no warning i'm sure it's totally illegal. mind you many illegal practices going on... just work somewhere else. anywhere else.

I worked at Mimeo.com full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fair starting salary, ample opportunities to learn new skills independently, decent corporate culture

    Cons

Ultimately it’s all about the money and corners are cut where they matter. Disordered hiring, layoffs, dehabilitating resource limitations and advancement cul-de-sacs characterized my experience there, and when salaried, a systemic strategy of understaffing exploited workers for more than 60 hours of work a week regularly.
