    Pros

Interesting work and a lot of perks at the corporate office

    Cons

Toxic work enviroment shelters abusive coworkers, work life balance out of whack as Molex makes tins of new acquisitions but does not adjust the workforce accordingly.

    Advice to Management

Better planning with your resource management.

I worked at Molex full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good Salary and Perks for New Joinees, But salary and money should not only be looked into. Thrust me, money is not everything, you need peace of mind to work and go home happy. It never happens in the Present Management (Koch) team. Guiding principles preaching everyday from your Boss, which is only from top to down approach (one way). If you challenge the process .........thats it.... keep listening.

    Cons

Earlier Management was good (prior to Koch Acquiring) , the present one is not employee oriented, No Job security especially if you are working in Connector & Harness Division (Bangalore) be careful. You never know when is your last day at Molex. If you make your mind and dont have any choice, make sure you are pet to your boss and their boss, never argue, never use you brain / head and give inputs, Ideas.

    Advice to Management

Only showing bottom line profit margin to your bosses should not only be your objective. Cost cutting & cost saving is and must, but not at the cost of hire and firing operators / contact workers. There are other means of cost saving, getting new business, expansion, eliminate waste in the process & increase profit margin.

Please treat Employees / Operators as Human being, they are not machines, They are depending on company for salaries and their family are depending on them.

The present process and this ideas would not last long. One day will come for that no one wants to work for you, even if you pay more than the market price.

    Because Humanity doesn't exists there.

I worked at Molex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Close to big city and airport- Chicago
    - Nice four seasons scenery
    - Good on-site cafeteria and gym
    - unlimited Coffee Supply

    Cons

    - Slave drive and low reward
    - 10 days vocation until 10 years service. You can negotiate to 15 days but hardly increases anymore.
    - Marketing and Sales are driving engineering work without engineering expertise.
    - Talent leave and well-behaved people stay

    Advice to Management

    - need to keep talent instead of hiring new graduate who will also leave with poor benefits.
    - more vocation days and better benefit are important in IT industry .
    - be respect to engineers. Molex is not only marketing/sales company.

I worked at Molex full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most people are great to work with. Lot's of expertise and training available. Need to reach out to get it. Positively, looking for corporate expansion.

    Cons

Pay is mediocre and bonus hardly existent, even when you meet your overall goals. More important for BU to meet its goals. Overbearing and demanding mgmt reporting on all fronts without priorities. Mgmt expects all the jobs done no matter the workload on set dates. Poor mgmt. feedback loop for job performance and poor efforts made to remove roadblocks to create better efficiencies. They promote work-life balance on paper, but realistically, could never be accomplished...work loads had be taken even when on vacation. I've worked at same role for over two years with very limited efficiency increases. Everything done through SAP. Personal Recommendations were rarely accepted to be worked on, even when they seemed to make sense.

    Advice to Management

Share work related responsibilities and strategies outside of director level and decrease the amount of reporting required each month. True and actual job related feedback required more than one time a year. Bonus structure needs to be revamped.
