I have been working at Monarch Aircraft Engineering full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Reasonable pay and benefits, good staff travel.

    Cons

Unsociable hours, reasonable pay is slowly deteriorating behind the competition, staff starting to feel undervalued.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the staff more, try a lot harder to establish harmony within the work force for staff retention.

I worked at Monarch Aircraft Engineering full-time

    Pros

Some nice staff members, canteen reasonably priced

    Cons

Engineering are the poor relation to the happy clapping airline up the road. Airline forget they lose money, engineering make it all. Management really poor quality, all promoted from within and been there since school so really no idea or skills for the jobs they're in. Lots of practises that wouldnt be acceptable anywhere else. Pay cuts and hours increases, holiday taken away etc. Not good for anyone looking for a young and dynamic place to progress.

    Advice to Management

    Get some experience.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Monarch Aircraft Engineering full-time

    Pros

Good variety of work, staff travel (although not great), pension contribution matched up to 5%, very skilled workforce, some overtime

    Cons

Poor salary, poor moral for several years, management have no respect for employees lifestyle (eg shift patterns constantly changing, salaries recently cut quite considerably, made to work more hours for less money), now work on 28 day shift pattern/roster which means you can't plan anything in advance, poor leave allowance 3 days of which can be used by management as forced leave, management often use bullying/threatening techniques to implement changes, ancient management styles, often promote managers from within so never any fresh ideas, too reliant on contractors

    Advice to Management

    Simply treat your employees better
