Do not believe the lies that their HR or Marketing teams share on their website or social channels - MonetizeMore is now run by liars who make incorrect projections and have been laying people off without giving them due respect and explanation.
Their recent layoff in late 2024 is a testament to how incredibly disgusting this company is now. I used to be be very proud of MonetizeMore but it seems like upper management had no contingency plan for industry changes and its own company's growth (or lack thereof).
Deceptive and Insulting HR Tactics:
Orchestrated by the new (2month old) COO (Faizan) who decided to lay off team members in the most insulting way possible, backed by the CEO (Kean, who had no guts to make the decision himself), the HR team or the lapdogs of the COO, abruptly executed a turn of events that left a foul memory to their contractors who helped them build MonetizeMore from a 30-50-person team, until it grew into a sizeable business with around 300 employees. Okay, we get it - a company is absolutely free to make a decision to let people go if that is what the cash flow dictates - but to arrange fake meetings to supposedly brainstorm or talk about projects but instead get ambushed without the ability to speak up, talk back, discuss, or ask questions because you are perpetually muted while they read a contract termination script robotically is just insane. This is how you treat people who made sacrifices for the company, helped M2 grow, and dedicated a significant number of years to contribute to the company. This was after being assured too that there will be no more lay offs this year or in the near future back in February 2024 when everyone was feeling the cracks in job security, preventing us from looking for other more stable jobs to secure our family's finances instead of being let go in a snap of a finger.
Dishonest Messaging by the COO:
The worst part of it all was that Faizan lied outright to the remaining team members by saying that the people who were cut off were not arbitrarily chosen. He did not even once, talk to many of these people nor did he have the chance to interact with them directly or maybe even understand their roles. He communicated that they were let go because they were most likely slacking off or had performance issues. They had a funny townhall meeting right after the lay offs were done so imagine how quickly and rushed they were to clean house before that meeting to try and calm the remaining people down. What a circus.
Ask anyone (except Faizan obviiously) - these people who were let go were mostly some of the most competent people there. Hitting KPIs, incredible work ethic, and no reprimands. But hey, a lot of them were tenured members, making them expensive to keep, I guess. And again, laying people off is an understandable solution - we were just incredibly stumped by how they handled everything. The meeting could have been given a generic meeting name, without all the description of things expected from us to do or contribute so we wouldn't have done any preparations which were all for naught - if they were concerned about security or disgruntled employees. If you did not mute us, we could've discussed things openly and avoided originally grateful members from turning their backs to M2 just like they turned its back on us.
Publishers Beware:
The company is now running on fumes. And not even a lot of fumes. Just droplets of condensed air that the executives are grasping to take hold of. They mostly have no clue what they are doing. Ad Ops numbers have been shaved so the remaining ones are handling multiple publishers beyond their capacity so imagine the level of service that they can give you. From previously handling 5, max, they could be handling up to 20+. Yikes.
They dismantled teams that are essential to operational success, making it difficult to achieve certain goals as an organization.
Their tech team leadership promises big things about their tech, PubGuru, Traffic Cop, etc, but none of these have really been successful nor groundbreakingly good. Traffic Cop may have been an innovation but there's a good reason why they are not taking over the IVT market. Kean and Faizan retained a lot of the senior level leadership team who have not even proven anything.
To be noticed or appreciated in this company, you have to be one of the loudest people - but not just the loudest, loudest at praising the senior leads and executives - always supporting their ideas. Ask the wrong questions or bring up an opposing idea, and you're in for a rough ride. Of course, they preach differently to the general audience, but we know how egotistical and narcissistic these executives really are.
So beware, publishers - take your websites and apps somewhere where you are guaranteed top-tier service. Not as another additional revenue source to help save a sinking ship, but without getting quality service in return.
