I have been working at Monster Worldwide full-time for more than a year

    Pros

the company offers great employee benefits. Managers offer good support but could be helped more by the business. Pay is good and it is a friendly and fun environment

    Cons

direction has been lacking from senior management for a number of years. there is a lot of red tape which gets in the way of doing the right thing. got to say some of the comments from ex employees are a nonsense. i have never experienced any drug taking in the Glasgow office, laughable comment. Nothing about sexual favours either. Obviously a disgruntled former employee who has been sacked.

    Pros

Great people, great culture with a start up feel.

    Cons

At the time, Senior Management was going through a shake up and they were disconnected to what the sales team was selling compared to they products and services THEY thought they should offer.

I worked at Monster Worldwide full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Give you a good salary, while you are there. You may survive if you are kind of person, coaxing senior management all the time and give a perception that you are working diligently, irrespective of what value work you actually contribute

    Cons

Company is in fact in a downward spiral. Going in loss every quarter. Hard Work or quality work will not be acknowledged by senior management. Your immediate managers may value your work but senior management is eventually be responsible for laying you off. If you are a kind of person, who believe in providing quality work and likes to be there for your work, this is not the company to be in. If you are a kind of person who will be using his communication skills at maximum to brag how good you are performing, you may survive 2-3 years. EVERYTHING IS PERSONAL, IN THIS COMPANY. NO DECISION IS BASED ON WHAT VALUE WORK YOU ARE DELIVERING. IF THEY DON'T LIKE YOU FOR WHATEVER REASON, YOU ARE NOT GONNA SURVIVE. Good Luck with that.

I worked at Monster Worldwide full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I had the please of meeting some of the best people among my colleagues and making friendships that will last a lifetime.

    Cons

Management is incompetent from the top down. After over a year, senior management still does not know the names of most of the people in the office. People are treated as if they are numbers as opposed to human beings. Management style is dismissive, detached and autocratic. Top management shows no interest in the people who work under them and they send out a constant message that everyone is replaceable. Team managers are not much different. They pick people to party with and form other sorts of relationships with outside of the office and they make sure these people receive the best treatment, deals and sales leads. The amount of inappropriate activity between managers and employees is amazing. After 5 years with the company and being treated so poorly by top management that it made me physically ill to go into the office, I had to leave. The level of unfair treatment, outright discrimination and favoritism became too much to bear on a daily basis. I am not sure how some people in this office have not been brought up before senior management officials on ethics charges. The place is a pit and everyone is disposable at a moment's notice.

I have been working at Monster Worldwide full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

There is a ton of earning opportunity at Monster on the sales team. The senior management team fosters relationships with top performers and grooms them for senior sales opportunities. They offer a solid training program and really believe in their products.

    Cons

The corporate culture at Monster is no corporate culture. If you're looking for an amazingly fun place to work, look elsewhere.
