I have been working at Moore Stephens International full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A friendly place with great people.
Lots of opportunities for development for middle ranking managers and senior managers
Very difficult to progress internally to director / partner

    Cons

    IT is dreadful
As usual if your face doesn't fit you won't get on - and it is a bland corporate culture that uses Values as a means of control
    Mildly but persistently sexist

    Advice to Management

Stop talking about people having to give leadership and actually allow them to do so.
    Stop the boys club culture

I have been working at Moore Stephens International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people are great at MS and it really makes it a great place to work. Apparently you spend most of your time at work so this can only be a benefit and at times when the pressure is on and there are deadlines to meet you really do get that sense of comradeship. I have definitely made friends during my time with MS and not just good colleagues.

There has been a lot of change over the last two years and this change has all been positive. Fee earners and Support staff are treated with the same respect and all are valued in their areas of skills and expertise. The current Managing Partner and COO have been in place for just over two years and this has made all the difference. It was as breath of fresh air.

Working at MS is so much better than it used to be and we are fast becoming a better known brand and entity.

    Cons

There could be some more flexibility around working hours - not part time as such but more agile working with core hours being set so there is the option to start and finish early or work at home from time to time. There does seem to be an emphasis on presenteesim which we need to move away from especially we if need to attract candidates from Big 4. We also fast running out of office space so hot desking would be easier if there was this level of flexibility. We have the tools to do this, we just need to do it!

    Advice to Management

Keep asking for feedback and talking to your teams, departments and firm.

I have been working at Moore Stephens International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Overall a good place to work with strong chance of progression and development for those that are seeking it and willing to step out of their comfort zones. Senior management genuinely seem focused on the development of the firm and its growth, which is certainly inspiring.

    Cons

Could be more flexible with work from home policies and the IT support can be an issue, however the Pros far outweigh the cons.

    Advice to Management

Continue listening to staff at all levels.
